Melbourne producer Jordan Brando makes his debut on DJ Tennis’ Life And Death with Fixation, a four-track EP that further establishes the Australian artist as one of the country’s most exciting new club exports. Released today, the project balances raw low-end pressure with hypnotic grooves, melodic warmth and classic house influences.
The EP opens with its title track, where shuffling percussion and a hypnotic vocal hook settle into a bass-driven groove designed for the dancefloor. From there, “Vibration” pushes deeper into tougher techno territory, bringing a darker edge to Brando’s production palette.
“The Bassline” shifts toward classic house, using its groove-focused arrangement to highlight another side of Brando’s increasingly versatile sound. Closing the EP, “After Dub” eases the intensity without abandoning the project’s rhythmic foundation, introducing warmer melodies and a more spacious atmosphere.
Fixation also strengthens the growing relationship between Life And Death and the latest generation of Australian producers making their mark internationally. The release follows recent projects from Luke Alessi and William Kiss, both of whom joined the label toward the end of 2025.
The three artists are also connected through Not Without Friends, with their shared approach to forward-thinking club music helping build momentum around a new wave of Australian talent. That connection recently came full circle when Brando, Alessi and Kiss reunited in New York City for a Raw Cuts event this summer.
Born and raised in Melbourne, Jordan Brando has developed a reputation for the breadth of his productions and DJ sets. His original music and remixes have appeared across dance charts internationally, while support from influential tastemakers including Pete Tong — through his BBC Radio 1 show — has helped push his music to a wider audience.
His rise has also been reflected in his live schedule. Brando has shared stages with William Kiss and Luke Alessi at Heide Museum of Modern Art, Beyond the Valley, Night Tales in London and Rippon Lea Estate, while continuing to build an international touring profile of his own.
Recent performances across Australia, New Zealand and Europe have included appearances at Lost Village, Beyond the Valley, Night Tales and Melbourne’s Collingwood Town Hall.
