A New Halloween Tradition in New Orleans
Following the continued popularity of Freaky Deaky Texas, the New Orleans edition marks the next evolution of the festival brand, expanding into one of the world’s most iconic Halloween destinations.
Each October, New Orleans attracts visitors from around the globe with elaborate costumes, historic architecture, ghost tours, and an unmatched party atmosphere. Freaky Deaky NOLA aims to complement that tradition by giving dance music fans a dedicated electronic music festival designed specifically for Halloween weekend.
The event will take over Mardi Gras World, transforming the home of the city’s legendary Mardi Gras floats into an immersive festival environment complete with large-scale production, theatrical staging, roaming performers, interactive art installations, local vendors, and thousands of costumed attendees.
A Collaboration Built on Local Roots
The inaugural festival represents a partnership between Disco Presents, Encore Entertainment, The Metropolitan, and Amps Events, bringing together decades of experience producing electronic music events and Halloween celebrations throughout New Orleans.
For Disco Presents founder James “Disco” Donnie Estopinal Jr., the launch also represents a return to where his career began.
“New Orleans is home. It’s where I threw my first raves over 30 years ago, so this one’s personal. Ryan, Rob, Mike and I have all been part of this scene for a long time, and bringing Freaky Deaky here together just feels right. I think people are going to love what we’ve built.”
Long before becoming one of North America’s leading independent electronic music promoters, Estopinal launched his earliest underground events in New Orleans, making the festival’s debut a full-circle moment for both the promoter and the city’s electronic music community.

With an impressive inaugural lineup, one of the country’s most iconic Halloween settings, and the combined expertise of several veteran event producers, Freaky Deaky NOLA is poised to become one of the premier Halloween electronic music festivals in the United States.
