The Fari Islands Festival returns to the Maldives from August 13–15, 2026, bringing together Patina Maldives, Fari Islands and The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands for its second edition under the theme, “One Festival, Every Sense.” Expanding on last year’s debut, the three-day event welcomes new additions including Milind Soman, FS Green, and National Geographic, joining headliner Rosamund Pike alongside an international lineup of artists, chefs, designers, wellness experts, and cultural leaders.
Spanning both luxury resorts, the festival offers a carefully curated program that moves from sunrise wellness sessions and ocean experiences to thought-provoking discussions, communal dining, immersive art installations, and evening performances celebrating creativity, sustainability, and connection.
One of this year’s highlights is an interactive art residency led by globally renowned designer Sean Wotherspoon, celebrated for collaborations with Nike, Adidas, Porsche, and Gap. Throughout the festival, Wotherspoon will guide guests in creating a large-scale reef-inspired sculpture, encouraging visitors to contribute directly to the evolving installation. Once completed, the artwork will be permanently placed in the Fari Islands lagoon to support ongoing coral regeneration efforts, allowing marine life to gradually transform the piece over time.
Wotherspoon will also host a special takeover of the Fari Artist Atelier, showcasing an exclusive Fari Islands merchandise collection alongside limited-edition designs created specifically for festival guests staying at both resorts.
Joining the wellness lineup is endurance athlete and public figure Milind Soman, whose decades-long career has made him one of India‘s most recognizable advocates for fitness and endurance sports. Partnering with the Maldives running community iRunners, Soman will lead a charity 5K and 10K Island Run on August 13.
The initiative supports iRunners‘ flagship Maldives Half Marathon and its Protect the Reef campaign. Since launching in 2022, the marathon has attracted runners from across the region while raising funds for marine conservation. Proceeds from the 2026 event will support coral restoration efforts in Villingili, reinforcing the festival’s ongoing environmental mission.
The festival’s music program also expands with the addition of internationally acclaimed Dutch DJ and producer FS Green, joining previously announced performers Sébastien Tellier and NOTEP. A pioneer whose sound blends hip-hop, house, Afrobeats, dancehall, and electronic music, FS Green has collaborated with artists including Mahalia, Blanco, Sevdaliza, and Major Lazer. He will close the festival with a special beachfront performance beneath the stars.
Also returning is Thai multidisciplinary artist NOTEP, whose immersive performances combine music, storytelling, and nature to create reflective experiences throughout the festival.

Adding an educational dimension, a visiting National Geographic Explorer will join conservation partner Olive Ridley Project to present experiences focused on the Maldives‘ extraordinary marine ecosystems, biodiversity, and ongoing conservation initiatives.
The culinary program features an impressive lineup led by Michelin-starred chef Samuel Lee of Paris‘s SENsation, alongside the acclaimed team from Tokyo‘s WAGYUMAFIA. Guests can also experience narrative-driven cocktail sessions from Dry Wave Cocktail Studio, ranked No. 5 in Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2025, in collaboration with Michter’s Whiskey, while Danilo Pozone of Sei Bellissimi curates premium spirits tastings.
Wellness returns as a central pillar of the festival with Bamford once again serving as wellness partner. Sound healer Stephanie Waxberg, aromatherapist Louise Riby, and luxury skincare brand Noble Panacea will lead immersive experiences centered on mindfulness, longevity, and holistic wellbeing.
Together, these collaborations reinforce the festival’s vision of creating meaningful experiences that extend beyond entertainment, encouraging guests to engage with art, nature, wellness, and community in lasting ways.
Reflecting on the event’s philosophy, Anthony Gill, General Manager of Patina Maldives, said:
“The festival has always been about curiosity—bringing together remarkable people whose work inspires fresh ways of thinking and connecting.”

Oscar Postma, General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands, added:
“As the festival draws closer, the excitement continues to build. This year’s exceptional programme has come together beautifully, and we can’t wait to see it all come to life across Fari Islands as we welcome guests for another unforgettable edition.”
