Award-winning artist and producer Ben Böhmer has unveiled his much-awaited third studio album, Bloom. The 11-track LP, out now via Ninja Tune, showcases Ben’s exceptional talent as both a songwriter and composer, bringing his improvisational roots to the forefront.
Bloom marks a shift for Ben, emphasizing his skills as a musician beyond his previous accomplishments—over 1 billion streams and one of the most-watched electronic sets on YouTube with 34 million views. Despite performing over 200 times in 2022, this album allows Ben’s true essence as an artist to shine, highlighting his piano-playing abilities, honed from a young age. Crafted using just a piano, microphone, and computer, the album features remarkable performances from collaborators such as Lykke Li, Oh Wonder, and more. It’s a testament to his versatility, extending far beyond the boundaries often set for him.
While Ben experiments with new genres and tempos, his signature melancholic electronica remains a constant thread throughout the album. From the opening piano notes on “Martin” to the haunting vocals of Enfant Sauvage from The Blaze on “Evermore” and the dancefloor pulse of “Rust,” Ben’s melodies take center stage.
“The Sun,” the final single from the project, encapsulates the album’s theme of rebirth. Featuring vocals from Josephine Vander West of Oh Wonder, the track blends Ben’s established electronic sound with his evolving instincts as a composer. Empowering lyrics about overcoming adversity and reaching enlightenment complement the song’s powerful instrumental.
After headlining major festivals like Sonar by Night and Lollapalooza, and supporting ODESZA at venues like The Gorge and Madison Square Garden, Ben continues to captivate audiences worldwide. His North American tour will conclude with a performance at Portola, followed by shows in Australia and Europe, including a stop at the Great Hall of Alexandra Palace.

He completed the largest North American live tour of his career, reaching 4 million monthly Spotify listeners and garnering over 1.3 million social media followers.
