Brooklyn producer and label head Jeff Sorkowitz makes his debut on Insomniac’s IN / ROTATION imprint with “Move Shake,” a driving deep tech release that channels the raw energy and intimacy of underground dance floors. Built around hypnotic grooves and minimalist influences, the single further establishes Sorkowitz as one of the rising names shaping the next wave of underground house music.
Known for blending high-energy dub aesthetics with subtle touches of Romanian minimal, Jeff Sorkowitz has steadily carved out a distinctive sonic identity. As both a producer and the founder of his own Short Circuit label, he has remained committed to pushing his signature sound forward while creating opportunities for emerging artists within the underground electronic music community.
“Move Shake” marks an especially personal milestone in Sorkowitz’s career, serving as the first release to feature his own vocals. His gritty vocal hooks become the centerpiece of the track, commanding attention while encouraging movement on the dance floor. Beneath the vocal performance, tightly programmed percussion, acid-infused synth lines, swinging hi-hats, atmospheric textures, sustained pads, and punchy low-end grooves come together to create a hypnotic, late-night club weapon.
The single has already earned significant support from some of dance music’s biggest names. Most notably, “Move Shake” soundtracked Carl Cox’s now-viral “final boss” entrance at the historic Château de Chantilly in France during his sold-out performance with special guest Mau P on June 20, 2026. As Carl Cox made his dramatic walk through the estate before taking the stage in front of more than 15,000 fans, Sorkowitz’s production provided the soundtrack to one of the summer’s most memorable festival moments.
Beyond his work as a producer, Jeff Sorkowitz continues to build momentum through his Short Circuit imprint, where he has collaborated with artists including Ky William, Braydon Terzo, BRANCA, James Wyler, and Cami Jones. His productions have also earned support from influential figures across the global house and techno community, including Michael Bibi, Marco Carola, Mau P, Joseph Capriati, John Summit, Loco Dice, Gorgon City, and Sosa.
His growing reputation has translated into an increasingly impressive touring schedule. Following performances at Ministry of Sound in London, Elrow NYC, BPM Festival, Knockdown Center, and Elsewhere, Sorkowitz is set to headline HB Social Club in Honolulu, marking another milestone in his rapidly expanding career.

Speaking about the release, Jeff Sorkowitz said:
“After a lot of experimentation over the last year, Move Shake is a return home to my core sound, focused on groove, intricacy, motion and layers. As my first track to ever feature my own vocals, Move Shake is my most self-expressive release to date.”
With its hypnotic rhythms, underground sensibility, and unmistakable club energy, “Move Shake” highlights the qualities that have made Jeff Sorkowitz one of the most exciting emerging producers in the house music scene. His debut on IN / ROTATION not only reinforces his evolving artistic identity but also signals another significant step forward as he continues to make his mark on dance floors around the world.
