William Black returns to Lost In Dreams Records with The Shadow Realm (Remixes), a 14-track collection that reimagines his acclaimed fourth studio album through the lens of some of melodic bass and electronic music’s most exciting producers. The expansive remix package brings together a diverse lineup of collaborators, including REAPER, Last Heroes, DOIL, SPORTMODE, STAR SEED, St. Mary, Bafu, Bumpÿ, RYN, Abandoned, and more, offering fresh interpretations that span melodic bass, dubstep, drum & bass, progressive house, and trap.

Widely regarded as one of the defining artists in melodic bass, William Black has built his career on emotionally driven songwriting paired with cinematic production. While his roots lie in dubstep, his music has evolved into a signature blend of soaring melodies, heartfelt vocals, and powerful bass, making The Shadow Realm one of his most ambitious projects to date.

The remix album opens with Acyan’s hard-hitting take on “Find Me In The Dark,” transforming the original into an explosive dubstep anthem. DOIL follows with a heavier rework of “Nightmare,” amplifying the emotional weight of the original through crushing basslines and festival-ready energy.

STAR SEED delivers an uplifting reimagining of “Unlove U,” preserving the heartbreak at the song’s core while layering in lush melodic production. Meanwhile, Home By Dawn gives “Can’t Be Alone (Without You),” featuring Rosie Darling, a fresh progressive house treatment that balances nostalgic dancefloor melodies with modern bass house rhythms.

The collection continues with ETERNAL’s interpretation of “Waiting On This Day Forever,” featuring Freja The Dragon, before melodic bass duo Last Heroes transform “Too Good To Be True” into an emotionally charged anthem alongside Trella and Affinity. Affinity also appears on Bafu’s remix of “Let Me Go,” where atmospheric wave influences meet powerful low-end production.

One of the heavier moments arrives with SPORTMODE’s remix of “Goodbye,” featuring Blanke and MGRD, delivering thunderous sub-bass and relentless percussion. Fans then receive two distinct versions of “Empty Space,” featuring baby blue. St. Mary turns the record into a festival-ready EDM anthem, while Bumpÿ leans into slower melodic bass textures that emphasize the track’s emotional core.

Later in the project, Abandoned reworks “Save Me,” featuring Kate Morgan, into an uplifting melodic anthem, while TOO BIASED pushes the same track toward bass-heavy trap territory with an entirely different sonic identity. RYN injects “Run,” featuring TW3LVE, with heavier bass elements while maintaining the original’s cinematic atmosphere.

Closing the remix package is one of its standout moments. Masked drum & bass producer REAPER transforms “Monster,” featuring baby blue, into a high-energy drum & bass weapon. Replacing the original’s orchestral arrangements with rapid-fire percussion, gritty synths, and driving basslines, the remix delivers a thrilling finale to the project. The original version of “Monster” has already surpassed 2.8 million streams, making it a fitting centerpiece for one of the album’s most dramatic reinventions.

The release follows an active year for William Black, who recently completed The Shadow Realm album tour with stops at venues including Terminal 5, History, Showbox SoDo, The Ogden Theatre, and Big Night Live. He is also set to appear at Lost In Dreams Festival, North Coast Music Festival, and join SLANDER’s The Voyager Tour for a performance at The Armory.

Speaking about the release, William Black shared his excitement:

“Can’t wait to release some of my favorite remixes of the new album.”

With 14 unique reinterpretations from some of bass music’s most exciting names, The Shadow Realm (Remixes) expands the emotional and sonic world of the original album while highlighting the creative diversity of today’s melodic bass scene.
