Fresh off the announcement of her first-ever headline tour—which sold out within minutes—ADÉLA returns with her latest single, “Red Bottoms,” accompanied by a striking new music video directed by Emma Drew Berson. The release marks a notable shift for the rising pop star, trading the bold, high-energy sound that initially introduced her to audiences for a more intimate and emotionally revealing approach.

On “Red Bottoms,” the 22-year-old singer-songwriter explores the aftermath of a toxic relationship defined by mixed signals, emotional inconsistency, and the fear of abandonment. The track serves as ADÉLA’s first true heartbreak ballad, showcasing not only her vocal versatility but also her increasingly sharp songwriting. Using the iconic red sole of a Christian Louboutin shoe as a central metaphor, she reflects on the emotional wear and tear caused by a partner unable to provide the affection and security she desperately sought.

The song’s lyrical depth is matched by its visual counterpart. Directed by Emma Drew Berson, the music video amplifies the track’s emotional intensity, creating a cinematic backdrop for ADÉLA’s exploration of vulnerability, heartbreak, and self-worth.

“Red Bottoms” follows the release of “KGB,” a standout single that arrived earlier this year. Co-produced by Blake Slatkin, Dylan Brady of 100 gecs, and The Dare, the song showcased ADÉLA’s fearless artistic vision. Paired with a visually stunning video filmed inside the historic LA Theatre, “KGB” highlighted her background as a professional ballet dancer while chronicling her journey from Slovakia to international recognition.

Less than a year ago, ADÉLA released her debut EP, The Provocateur, through Capitol Records. Drawing heavily from her personal experiences, the project transformed themes of ambition, betrayal, exploitation, and resilience into larger-than-life pop storytelling. Since then, she has quickly emerged as one of the genre’s most exciting new voices.

Her rapid rise has earned attention from major publications including Vogue, Interview Magazine, The FADER, Harper’s Bazaar, Rolling Stone, Cosmopolitan, i-D, PAPER Magazine, and NYLON. The momentum translated into sold-out debut headline performances in London, New York, and Los Angeles, while a recent support run alongside Demi Lovato introduced her to even larger audiences across North America.

This September, ADÉLA will embark on a 21-date headline tour with stops in Toronto, Boston, Washington, D.C., Brooklyn, Nashville, Dallas, Los Angeles, and two performances in Mexico City, following a special show in London this August.

With “Red Bottoms,” ADÉLA continues to demonstrate her evolution as both a songwriter and performer. By embracing vulnerability while maintaining the confidence and ambition that fueled her breakout success, she further solidifies her place among pop music’s most promising new stars.
