Following one of the most celebrated periods of his career, Seven Lions returns with Asleep in the Garden of Infernal Stars & The Dreams Strange and Eternal Remixes, a sweeping new remix compilation that reimagines standout tracks from his acclaimed 2025 album and its companion EP. Released on June 12, the project brings together a diverse lineup of artists from across the electronic music spectrum, each offering a unique interpretation of the emotionally rich universe Seven Lions created throughout the era.
The remix package arrives after a landmark year for the producer. Asleep in the Garden of Infernal Stars earned widespread critical acclaim, taking home Album of the Year honors from Dancing Astronaut and winning Best Album at the EDM Awards. Its companion release, The Dreams Strange and Eternal, further expanded the project’s immersive storytelling and cinematic scope, solidifying the era as one of the defining chapters in Seven Lions’ catalog.
Opening the collection is Millennial Trash’s reimagining of the album’s title track. While preserving the original’s atmospheric grandeur, the producer transforms “Asleep in the Garden of Infernal Stars” into a bass-heavy dubstep journey filled with intricate sound design and dynamic energy.
“Breaking Me” receives two distinct reinterpretations that showcase the versatility of the source material. Rad Cat injects the track with high-octane breakbeats and driving momentum, while Matt Fax takes a completely different approach, reshaping the record into a smooth, groove-driven house anthem.
Fan-favorite single “Delusional” also gets the dual-remix treatment. FLOTE maintains the euphoric spirit and melodic beauty that made the original resonate with listeners, while longtime collaborator Quackson pushes the track into heavier territory with his signature wonky dubstep production style.
Elsewhere, STAR SEED amplifies the emotional intensity of “By the Light of the Moon,” transforming the ethereal original into a festival-ready anthem without sacrificing its melodic core. “Past You” receives two standout reinterpretations as well. Last Heroes’ version has already become a favorite among fans after appearing throughout recent Seven Lions live performances, while Italian drum & bass producer SpectraLoad delivers a powerful high-energy rework that highlights his distinctive production approach.
One of the collection’s darker moments arrives through HVDES’ remix of “Thrice Woven.” The producer reshapes the cinematic original into a deep and brooding dubstep experience, emphasizing tension and atmosphere while introducing a heavier edge.
The compilation also shines a spotlight on tracks from The Dreams Strange and Eternal. Lead single “Free,” featuring Brieanna Grace, receives two fresh interpretations. MashBit, known for his viral mashups and genre-bending productions, delivers one remix, while Lost Wolves contributes another after winning the global remix competition hosted by Seven Lions and Ophelia Records, emerging victorious from thousands of entries worldwide.

Closing the project is Cyclops’ remix of “Hurricane.” Rather than pushing the track toward peak-time intensity, the producer opts for a more restrained and atmospheric approach, creating a reflective finale that elegantly brings the collection to a close.
The release follows the conclusion of Seven Lions’ extensive North American headline tour, which brought the worlds of Asleep in the Garden of Infernal Stars and The Dreams Strange and Eternal to audiences across some of the continent’s most iconic venues. The run included major performances in Minneapolis, Chicago, Houston, and New York, along with a sold-out return to Red Rocks Amphitheatre, where Seven Lions partnered with Conscious Alliance to support hunger-relief initiatives. The tour also featured two consecutive nights at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, further underscoring the impact of this creative era.
More than a collection of remixes, Asleep in the Garden of Infernal Stars & The Dreams Strange and Eternal Remixes serves as both a celebration and an extension of a project that reconnected Seven Lions with the inspirations that shaped his earliest work. By inviting a carefully curated group of artists to reinterpret these songs through their own creative lenses, the release offers listeners a fresh perspective on one of the most important and ambitious periods of his career.
