2ŁØT Enter a New Era with “Favorite Star,” Announce Second Album RE/SOLVE

Today, 2ŁØT step into a new chapter with the release of “Favorite Star,” the first glimpse into their second album, RE/SOLVE, arriving July 31st. After a breakout year that expanded their reach deep into the global electronic scene, the genre-defying collective return with something more intimate, more inward-facing.

Favorite Star” explores the quiet tension of being loved for who you used to be while privately knowing you’ve already changed. Built on atmospheric textures and Rudy Love Jr.’s contemplative vocal delivery, the track reflects on identity without collapsing into nostalgia. It’s honest about growth — reflective without being defeated.

If 2ŁØT’s debut album Entropy confronted chaos head-on — drawing from the Second Law of Thermodynamics and the inevitability of disorder — RE/SOLVE shifts perspective. The new record leans into what the band calls their “Second Hero’s Journey”: what happens after survival, after the breakthrough, when the real work begins.

“The aim is to mythologize the cyclical process of self-reflection, transformation, and self-actualization through a Campbellian archetypal lens,” shares Rudy. “The songs are specifically written and ordered to tell a story that takes the listener on this adventure with us.”

Rather than offering easy conclusions, RE/SOLVE lives in the in-between — a meditation on transition and the steady reconstruction of self. The album feels more stripped back, more emotionally grounded, and quietly confident in its evolution. It features appearances from three GRAMMY Award–winning artists, including Jon Batiste, signaling the expanding creative orbit around the band.

A Landmark Year of Expansion

In 2025, 2ŁØT made meaningful strides into the global electronic arena. Two collaborations with Steve Aoki — including a release on Dim Mak — introduced their sound to international festival audiences. Multiple singles charted across dance platforms, demonstrating sustained momentum beyond the live circuit.

The Albert Harvey Mix EP reimagined tracks from Entropy through a club-forward lens, while Paul Oakenfold delivered a euphoric reinterpretation of “Entropy,” further embedding the band within the international dance community.

Their collaboration with Aloe Blacc, “Immortal,” rooted in the philosophy of memento mori, debuted live on KTLA and resonated widely for its message of courage and purpose. Alongside these releases, 2ŁØT brought their immersive live experience to stages like Treefort Music Fest, proving themselves equally at home in concert halls and club spaces.

Those collaborations expanded their sonic reach. With RE/SOLVE, the focus returns to a cohesive album statement — building on their Electronic Jam Music foundation while exploring more nuanced emotional territory.
