In honor of the celebrated Washington DC’s Capital Pride Festival event on June 11, 2017, recording Australian artist and singer VASSY performed alongside Miley Cyrus, the R&B/hip-hop artist Tinashe, R&B legends The Pointer Sisters.
Originating from Australia with Greek heritage, VASSY ‘s music incorporates dance, reggae, and soul as a base for her vocal styling.
The festival’s performers hoped to bring attention to the critical issue of homeless LGBTQ youth in the Nation’s Capital, “It is very important to protect our most vulnerable youth and remind them they have a space where they can not only dance, but smile too,” explained VASSY.
The next stop in VASSY’s support for the 2017 June Pride was Chicago’s Annual Pride Festival on June 17, 2017. “I am very excited to be supporting the artistic and LGBTQ community in Chicago, said VASSY, “everyone has the right in America to love who they choose.”
As a singer, songwriter, and producer, her music speaks for itself and her progressive popularity in dance music is massive. Conquering the DJ world with her authentic sound has lead to a worldwide No. 1 hit with David Guetta & Showtek on their track “BAD,” which is certified 7 times double platinum, as well as winning an IDMA Award for Best Featured Vocalist Performance in 2015. “BAD” has had over 600 million views on Youtube, downloaded 2 million times and streamed via Spotify over 280 million times.

VASSY joined forces once again in 2016 with Tiësto on her #1 standalone hit single, “Nothing To Lose,” a high-energy dance-floor friendly masterpiece.
