Paper Diamond & Polina Assemble A Gem Of A Track in ‘Downfalls

by Tom Fairfax

Paper Diamond has made his return to music a triumphant one and he’s not done yet, releasing his second single before his upcoming album, ‘Downfalls’. After taking a hiatus of 2 years on music, he took a meticulous and methodical approach in making this album and he feels like he  got it right. His follow-up to his latest single ‘Work 9000’, Paper D takes on another spectrum to his musical production prowess.

Alex enlists the incredible russian grammy winning vocalist Polina and she delivers in a big way. Known for her versatility to work with many genres all across dance music, Polina’s vocal stylings alongside ‘Downfalls’ has a magnificent result. Her voice synchronizing with each snare and melody in the track shows as an impressive bridge between both stylings of the artists.

In Paper Diamond’s own words, “Sometimes good things take time. I decided to not rush in making this album in an attempt to make something meaningful that I truly enjoyed making, but also listening to. 2018 is the year I finally get to release all the music I’ve been holding on to these last couple of years.”

Paper Diamond has shown his taste in variety in music as well as his love for art and 3D visual design. Teaming up with A-Trak’s label Fools Gold Records, it has allowed Alex to have creative control and it has been a perfect marriage thus far. As we await the much anticipated album and more music from Paper Diamond, I am pleased to say that ‘Downfalls’ featuring Polina is out now and will be on repeat till he drops one of the years most anticipated albums of 2018.
