First, is the announcement of the inaugural GoldRush DJ competition, in which one talented local will win the chance to perform onstage during the festival! This competition will be held at Monarch Theatre in downtown Phoenix on August 18th, with doors opening at 9 PM. Rumor has it that this event will also have raffles for GoldRush tickets, tickets to local shows, and other prizes like signed posters. These lucky locals have been selected, and the stage has been set, so be sure to come see who is going to take home the gold!
This year is also debuting the first and second installments of the Gold Rush Expeditions, with the first show being held at the Americana in Tempe, Arizona. Relentless Beats is bringing out O.T Genasis from “CoCo” and “Cut It” down to the desert. This is going to be a huge night that you will not want to miss. And a little secret from us…there are free tickets available, only for a limited time. Check it out here.
The second of the Gold Rush Expeditions is taking place at one of, if not the best, venues in Arizona, Shady Park in Tempe, Arizona. This event will host Throttle, an amazing Aussie who is known for his unique way of mixing genres together, from countless different producers, into his own sound. Support consists of a few of Arizona’s favorite locals Medicine Mike, Cafe Caderas, and Mustache Sweat. Be there on September 7th at 9 P.M.!
Now, we want to warm your hearts with the donation series that Thomas Turner and Relentless Beats are bringing together. They have teamed up with Surreal to aid ChildHelp. With a simple monetary donation (packages start at $5), you will be entered to win the “Can you Dig It Experiences”. They are outrageous. Relentless Beats wants to fly you and a friend to Arizona, set you up in a hotel, and give you both VIP passes to GoldRush. And it doesn’t stop there! When you donate, you are also donating into winning one of the following experiences…
The first Experience for a winner and a friend includes:
Get caked by Steve Aoki, riding in a cart with Illenium, and view his set from the stage, play cornhole with Said the Sky, watch Louis the Child from side stage, and go visit a sloth at the Zoo with Sacha Robotti.
The second Experience for a winner and a friend includes:
Meet and greet Black Tiger Sex Machine, Race go-karts with SayMyName, kick it with Yung Pinch, play Fortnite with Ekali, watch Deorro’s set from the stage complete with a meet and greet.
These prizes are some serious bucket list level shit, and we want everyone to have a chance to enter!

Last, but certainly not least, we want to give you the lowdown on the afterparties for each day. When day one concludes, the afterparty goes from 1 AM until 4 AM, at Rawhide, so you don’t even have to leave the venue! This lineup is yet to be announced, but in previous years it has been the likes of Shiba San, Prok and Fitch, and numerous others. We are shaking in our boots awaiting this year’s announcements!
Now, on day two, and this is going to be huge… a Desert Hearts takeover from 12 AM to 3 AM with legends of the vibe Pork Chop, Mikey Lion, Lee Reynolds, and Marbs. If you have not yet heard of these names, we highly advise you to check them out. This afterparty is also conveniently located at Rawhide.
That wraps up our lowdown for this year’s GoldRush Music Festival. Mark your calendars, plan your routes, and gather your pals! Purchase your tickets for the festival here, and start planning your weekend, because this is going to be epic! Can you dig it?
