Italian producer Mazare is teaming up with Brighton-based metal band EVILLE for the explosive new single “King For A Day,” arriving May 22 via Universal Music Italy alongside an accompanying music video.

Over the past several years, Mazare has steadily emerged as one of the most exciting names in melodic bass and alternative electronic music. A longtime staple of Monstercat, the Italian producer has earned support from major artists including SLANDER, ILLENIUM, Seven Lions, Said The Sky, Dabin, Koven, and Don Diablo. With releases spanning Monstercat and Insomniac Records, his catalog has now surpassed 35 million streams on Spotify alone.

Known for balancing emotionally driven songwriting with crushing electronic production, Mazare has built a signature sound that moves fluidly between cinematic melodic bass, metal-electronic fusion, and pop-rock influences. Drawing inspiration from artists like The Prodigy, Noisia, and Bring Me The Horizon, he continues to cultivate a rapidly growing international fanbase through both his high-energy productions and dynamic live performances.

Joining him on “King For A Day” is rising brat metal outfit EVILLE, a fast-growing force within the UK alternative scene. The band has already received support from BBC Radio 1, Kerrang!, and Radio X, while sharing stages with acts such as WARGASM and Delilah Bon and appearing at major festivals including Reading and Leeds Festival and 2000 Trees Festival.

King For A Day” blends aggressive electronic production with punk and metal intensity. Jersey club-inspired kick drums drive the track forward before erupting into distorted guitars, breakbeat-inspired percussion, and looming Reese basslines. EVILLE vocalist Eva Sheldrake delivers a commanding vocal performance, while Mazare steps into a new creative lane with a rap verse of his own.

The single’s accompanying music video expands the track’s raw intensity into a full audiovisual experience. Featuring grungy VHS-inspired footage of Mazare and EVILLE, the video intercuts performance shots with imagery of an ominous red-draped figure, amplifying the song’s darker themes and rebellious energy.

Speaking on the track, Mazare shared: “‘King For A Day’ was born from the discomfort caused by the current geopolitical situation and the impact it’s having on everyone’s lives. I felt the need to speak up about it, and that’s why this time I challenged myself with writing and performing the small rap section in the second verse. I wanted the song to be as direct and unaltered as possible. And I need to shout out EVILLE for being very respectful of the vision for this one. They took the song, made it their own, and delivered an incredible performance that perfectly captured the feeling I was going for.”

With its collision of metal, bass music, punk energy, and socially charged lyricism, “King For A Day” positions both Mazare and EVILLE at the forefront of a new wave of genre-defying electronic music.
