Moody Good has officially returned with SPEEEDBUMP 01, his long-awaited new EP arriving May 20 via Deadbeats. After months of building anticipation through a string of high-impact singles, the seven-track project fully unveils the immersive sonic universe first introduced with “Grinding” and expanded through “Humid” and “Mouth Piece.”
Across the EP, Moody Good pushes deeper into the experimental edge of bass music, fusing wobbling low-end pressure, futuristic baile funk-inspired percussion, warped vocal chops, and industrial textures into a sound that feels simultaneously chaotic and meticulously engineered. The project thrives on contrast — balancing crushing mechanical weight with bouncy rhythmic movement while constantly shifting between tension and release.
Rather than functioning as a standalone collection of tracks, SPEEEDBUMP 01 arrives as part of a much larger conceptual world. Through hyper-detailed sound design, evolving visual aesthetics, and cinematic storytelling, the project establishes a fully realized audio-visual universe where each release contributes to a broader narrative identity. It’s a continuation of the immersive approach that has increasingly defined Moody Good’s artistry throughout his career.
The EP follows the release of “Grinding,” which first introduced the SPEEEDBUMP concept through raw, mechanical intensity and distorted bass pressure. That momentum continued with “Humid,” a track that expanded the project’s sonic palette through guttural textures and swinging rhythms while already surpassing 50,000 streams across platforms. The rollout’s third single, “Mouth Piece” featuring KARAN!, further broadened the project’s scope by weaving Brazilian rhythmic influence and cross-cultural energy into Moody Good’s signature production style.
Together, those releases laid the foundation for a project that feels both futuristic and strangely timeless — rooted in bass music tradition while constantly mutating into something new.

To celebrate the release, Moody Good will perform his first headline show of the year on May 22 at Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom, offering fans the first fully realized live presentation of the SPEEEDBUMP universe. Given the EP’s immersive production style and cinematic scope, the material feels especially primed for the live environment and festival season ahead.
For more than a decade, Moody Good has remained one of bass music’s most influential and technically respected innovators. From his early work as part of the legendary duo 16bit to landmark productions like his remix of “Fall In Love,” along with collaborations including “Mad Ting” with Zeds Dead and “move ting” with Skrillex, his work has consistently redefined the boundaries of sound design within electronic music.
Released through Deadbeats, the influential label founded by Zeds Dead, SPEEEDBUMP 01 also continues the imprint’s longstanding reputation for championing boundary-pushing bass music and immersive creative worlds. With this latest project, Moody Good once again positions himself at the forefront of bass music’s evolving future — blending technical precision, experimental rhythm, and cinematic atmosphere into a world entirely his own.
