GRAMMY-nominated electronic trio Above & Beyond have officially announced the return of their flagship compilation series with Anjunabeats Volume 17, marking a significant new chapter for Anjunabeats following a four-year hiatus.
Spanning 35 tracks across two curated mixes, Anjunabeats Volume 17 continues a series that has shaped melodic and trance-leaning electronic music for over two decades. Carefully assembled between Above & Beyond’s London studio and their global touring schedule, the compilation reflects the evolving identity of the label — balancing long-standing collaborators with a new wave of emerging artists defining its future direction.
Since its inception in 2003, the Anjunabeats Volume series has served as both a snapshot and a launchpad within electronic music culture, consistently introducing new talent while reinforcing the label’s signature blend of trance, progressive, and melodic club sounds. With this latest installment, Above & Beyond continue that legacy while pushing the sound forward into its next era.
“Following the release of Bigger Than All Of Us, it felt important for this next chapter to celebrate the artists that make Anjunabeats such an exciting label to be a part of,” the group shared. “Volume 17 includes music from artists we’ve worked with for years as well as new faces representing the future of the label.”
The compilation is structured across two distinct listening experiences. Disc One leans into a deeper progressive atmosphere, weaving together tribal rhythms, atmospheric textures, and subtle nods to ‘90s trance nostalgia. Disc Two shifts toward peak-time energy, capturing the euphoric, festival-ready sound that has become synonymous with the Anjunabeats identity on global stages.
Leading the release is “When I Look In Your Eyes,” a new collaboration with longtime creative partner Justine Suissa. The track first premiered to 15,000 fans during Group Therapy 600 in Mexico City, quickly becoming one of the most sought-after IDs from the group’s recent world tour.
For the first time in the series’ history, Anjunabeats Volume 17 will also be released on vinyl, featuring a 12-track sampler personally selected by Above & Beyond, underscoring the project’s archival and collectible significance for fans of the label’s long-running legacy.
To celebrate the release, Above & Beyond will host a special one-off live event in London on May 28, debuting the compilation in an intimate setting. The pop-up show will offer fans a rare opportunity to experience the new music up close, with access reserved exclusively for Above & Beyond at Silverworks Island ticketholders.
