Australian artist and producer JVLY continues the rollout for his forthcoming SUNDERLUXE EP with a reimagined version of “WALKED THE SUN,” courtesy of Berlin-based producer dj poolboi. The remix transforms the original into a sweeping, atmospheric house cut, layering warm textures and nostalgic tones into a deeply cinematic reinterpretation.
SUNDERLUXE arrives as the definitive deluxe edition of JVLY’s 2025 SUNDER EP, expanding its sonic world through a curated set of remixes for each original track. The project also introduces a previously unreleased B-side, written during the initial SUNDER sessions, further deepening the narrative and emotional scope of the release.
The dj poolboi remix follows a series of reworks from an international lineup of producers, including France’s Contrecoeur, Brisbane’s Lemonade Baby, and Sydney’s Mel Blue. Each artist has offered a distinct perspective on the source material, gradually reshaping the SUNDERLUXE universe into something more expansive and multifaceted. With this latest entry, dj poolboi leans into his signature blend of dreamy house and melancholic ambiance, pushing the track into more introspective territory.
Reflecting on the collaboration, JVLY shares:
“I’ve been a fan of dj poolboi for a long time, so having him rework ‘WALKED THE SUN’ was super special. He has a way of making songs feel cinematic, kind of like they’re tied to a memory you can’t quite place, and that dreamlike feeling was perfect for this one. It taps into that moment of realization the song was built around—it’s a new angle, obviously, but it still feels like that sunset did.”
