Korn return with “Reward the Scars,” their first new release in over four years, arriving alongside a cinematic music video created in partnership with Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred. The release signals the beginning of a new era for one of the most influential and enduring bands of the past three decades.
Written during recent studio sessions, “Reward the Scars” stands as a fully realized Korn record—one that continues the band’s longstanding exploration of pain, survival, and transformation with sharpened clarity and intensity. While the track ultimately aligned with the dark, immersive world of Diablo IV, its origins are rooted firmly in the band’s own creative evolution, pointing toward what comes next.
“I’ve played Diablo for years, so getting to step into that world creatively felt natural,” said Jonathan Davis. “I’ve always connected to the darkness in the game and the idea of confronting what lives beneath the surface—that’s something Korn has explored in our music from the beginning. ‘Reward the Scars’ came out of our own writing sessions as a new Korn song, and it became clear pretty quickly that it was a natural fit for Diablo.”
The band recently debuted the track live during their set at Sick New World, where they continue to perform as a top-billed act. Known for their visceral, high-impact performances, Korn remain a dominant presence on the global touring circuit—balancing major festival slots with large-scale headline shows that regularly draw crowds exceeding 25,000 fans.
