Following the release of lead single “UNORTHODOX” alongside SVDDEN DEATH, “DOOM 2” presents a tightly constructed body of work that pushes into the outer edges of dubstep. Across the EP, Getter leans into tonal abrasion, high-impact arrangement, and precision-driven sound design, crafting a relentless listening experience rooted in tension and release.
The project opens with “MURDA,” a menacing collaboration with Zoey808 that blends sci-fi textures with punishing rhythms and gritty, headbang-ready energy. Momentum builds into “UNORTHODOX,” where Getter and SVDDEN DEATH unleash warped basslines and chaotic vocal elements, culminating in a suspense-heavy outro that lingers beyond the drop.
At the EP’s core, “HEAVYWEIGHT” sees Getter link with Space Laces for a massive, mainstage-ready centerpiece. The track builds from eerie melodic tension into explosive low-end impact, delivering one of the EP’s most commanding moments—engineered for festival stages and high-intensity live environments.
Further into the project, “EYE OF ZAPHO” pairs Getter with Moody Good, channeling a dystopian groove through mechanical rhythms and intricate sound design before stripping back into a stark, atmospheric close. The EP concludes with “LUNG,” a finely tuned finale that balances layered topline elements with industrial-grade production, driving momentum through tightly segmented arrangement work.
Beyond the studio, Getter continues his return to the forefront of bass music with high-profile performances alongside SVDDEN DEATH and upcoming appearances at EDC Las Vegas, Forbidden Kingdom, and Beyond Wonderland at the Gorge.
