Today, acclaimed American hard rock band TESLA announces their forthcoming album Homage, set for release on July 17, 2026, via Frontiers Music Srl. Marking a full-circle moment in their storied career, the project finds the band returning to their roots with a collection of covers honoring some of rock’s most timeless hits.
Offering the first glimpse into the album, TESLA shares their reimagined version of Climax Blues Band’s iconic track “I Love You” (2026 Version), arriving alongside an official video. The release sets the tone for a record rooted in reverence, while still embracing the band’s signature sound.
The band explains, “‘I Love You,’ like all the tracks on Homage, not only pays tribute to legends but gives us a chance to showcase our lead singer’s diversity as well as the musical dynamics we learned as a band many years ago.”
More than four decades since forming as a cover band in California nightclubs, TESLA’s journey comes full circle with Homage. Much like their early inspirations—The Beatles and The Rolling Stones—the band honed their craft by performing songs from the artists who came before them, a tradition that continues to shape their identity today.
The album highlights the vocal legacy of some of music’s most influential figures, including Elvis Presley, Freddie Mercury, Sam Cooke, David Ruffin, Etta James, and James Brown. Rather than imitation, Homage serves as a reflection of influence—tracing the path from inspiration to artistry, and from listener to creator.
Arriving more than 20 years after their Real to Reel series, the project also echoes a period that helped spark new original material for the band, including the track “Never Alone.” With Homage, TESLA delivers a heartfelt thank-you—an album that celebrates the voices and songs that helped define their sound.
“Our new album Homage is a thank-you note written in sound,” the band shares. “An offering to the great singers and songs that shaped the music we grew up listening to, and the songs we would eventually write. We hope you all enjoy this as much as we did making it. Thank you for all the years—Keep it Real and Keep On Rockin’!”
In support of the release, TESLA will hit the road this summer on The Return of the Carnival of Sins Tour alongside Mötley Crüe and Extreme. The tour kicks off July 17 in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, and runs across the United States before wrapping up September 26 in Ridgefield, Washington.
