Dance music powerhouse John Summit has released his latest single “SATA” via Experts Only and Darkroom Records, marking the fourth preview of his upcoming album CTRL ESCAPE, set for release April 15. Driven by a pulsating 140 BPM rhythm and a subtle Latin twist, the track is built for late-night warehouse energy, delivering a stripped-back, high-impact weapon designed with DJs firmly in mind.
“SATA” showcases John Summit’s sharp instinct for dancefloor composition, focusing on raw rhythm and hypnotic momentum rather than excess. The result is a no-frills club record primed for peak-time sets, further reinforcing his reputation as one of the most in-demand producers shaping modern electronic music.
The single arrives as part of the wider rollout for CTRL ESCAPE, a project that pushes beyond Summit’s signature tech-house sound. Across the album, he blends a diverse set of influences — from heavy-hitting tech-house grooves to dubstep, drum & bass, and other electronic styles. As a whole, the record reflects Summit’s current reality: a life defined by relentless touring, massive festival appearances, and intimate club shows that maintain his connection to the fans who supported him from the beginning. Earlier releases from the album have already showcased the project’s stylistic range. “WITH ME,” featuring alt-pop artist Julia Wolf, leans into darker emotional territory, trading euphoric dancefloor highs for a moodier, introspective atmosphere filled with tension and longing. Prior to that, “SHADOWS” featuring vocalist LAVINIA explored a seductive blend of tech-house grooves and layered synth textures, while debut album single “LIGHTS GO OUT” captured the monotony of daily routine before exploding into club-ready release.
Beyond the studio, John Summit continues to dominate the global touring circuit. This summer, he will make his Ibiza residency debut, headlining nine Monday nights at [UNVRS], while also marking his UK summer headline debut with Labyrinth Events at Tofte Manor. His touring schedule will also include back-to-back Experts Only ski weekenders in Vail and Whistler, before closing the main stage at Ultra Music Festival.
Additional appearances include Ultra South Africa and Tomorrowland, followed by a return to New York City in September for the highly anticipated second edition of the Experts Only Festival, which follows the event’s sold-out debut in 2025.
Last September, John Summit hosted New York City’s largest dance music festival with the launch of Experts Only, drawing more than 50,000 fans and featuring a massive lineup including Kaskade B2B Cassian, Green Velvet B2B Layton Giordani, LP Giobbi, and AYYBO. Over the past year, he has also delivered major performances at Lollapalooza Paris, Lollapalooza Germany, Ultra Europe, and Austin City Limits Festival, while headlining his biggest UK show to date at The O2 Arena in London and closing the year with a sold-out performance at Folsom Field at the University of Colorado Boulder.
