Experimental pop provocateur Cobrah has unveiled her debut full-length album, Torn, out now via Atlantic Records. Entirely written and creative directed by Cobrah herself, the album blends stark emotional vulnerability with cinematic, high-impact production, resulting in a bold, theatrical self-portrait that is unapologetically her own.
Reflecting on the record, Cobrah shares:
“With Torn, I am way more ‘me’ as a person, the songs pull from my real life. It’s a little bit scary. I love doing characters. I love making things up and being extreme—and I’m still doing that on this album—but I’m also peeling it all off and presenting my real self as a character.”
Alongside the album, Cobrah has released a new music video for the single “Dog”, which features the artist stepping into a mud bath alongside two large Dobermans.
To celebrate Torn, Cobrah is embarking on a North American and European tour. The run begins later this month at Treefort Fest in Boise, Idaho, before moving to cities including Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Austin, Chicago, Toronto, Montreal, New York, and more, and continuing to London, Berlin, and Paris in May. She will also make her Coachella debut this April.
Torn showcases a sultrier, more vocally adventurous side of Cobrah, complementing her emotional openness. “I have a melodic language that I haven’t used before until now,” she explains. Cobrah invited longtime collaborators Isac Hördegård and Hannes Roovers to contribute, while also working with producers such as Illangelo, Machinedrum, and Tove Burman.

A multidisciplinary artist from Gothenburg, Sweden, Cobrah emerged from Stockholm’s underground fetish scene, channeling its energy into a boundary-pushing pop aesthetic. Since her 2019 debut EP ICON, she has consistently expanded her vision, earning acclaim with releases such as the self-titled COBRAH EP (2021) and SUCCUBUS EP (2023), which won a Swedish Grammis for Electro/Dance of the Year. Her performances—including a celebrated Boiler Room set in London—underscore her immersive, high-concept artistry.
Beyond music, Cobrah has made her mark in fashion and film, attending New York and Paris Fashion Weeks, collaborating with designers like Dilara Fındıkoğlu, Dion Lee, and Matière Fécale, and having her tracks featured in campaigns for Jean Paul Gaultier, Mugler, Lancôme, and Viktor & Rolf. Most recently, her single “BRAND NEW BITCH” appeared in Yorgos Lanthimos’ 2024 film Kinds of Kindness and its official trailer.
Torn positions Cobrah as one of Europe’s most daring and forward-thinking pop artists, combining personal narrative, experimental sound design, and high-concept artistry into a singular debut statement.
