Fresh off the European leg of his The Boy Who Played The Harp headline tour, Dave has unveiled the striking visual for the album’s title track. Directed by Edem Wornoo, the cinematic video places Dave in a series of poignant historical moments, echoing the introspective lyric: “what would I do in the next generation.”
The visual is the third release from Dave’s historic third album, The Boy Who Played The Harp, out via The Neighbourhood / Capitol Records. It follows the acclaimed singles “Chapter 16” featuring Kano and his fourth UK #1 single “Raindance” featuring Tems, which spent over 17 weeks in the UK Top 30, including two weeks at #1, reached the Top 20 in more than 15 countries, and earned Dave his first entry on the Billboard Hot 100.
The Boy Who Played The Harp debuted at Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart, making Dave the first British rap act to launch three consecutive albums at Number 1 in the UK, following 2019’s PSYCHODRAMA and 2021’s We’re All Alone In This Together. The album sold 74,000 units in its first week, marking the second biggest opening week for a British album in 2025, and became the Biggest Selling Rap Album in a Week on vinyl with 15,561 sales. Within six weeks of release, the album had already been certified Gold in the UK.
This weekend, Dave is nominated for three awards at the 2026 BRIT Awards, including ‘Mastercard Album Of The Year’, ‘Artist Of The Year’, and ‘Hip Hop/Grime/Rap Act’. The Boy Who Played The Harp marks his third consecutive album to receive a nomination for ‘Album Of The Year’ at the BRIT Awards, following his debut PSYCHODRAMA, which won the award in 2020.
Next week, Dave begins the UK leg of his highly anticipated The Boy Who Played The Harp headline tour, starting in Dublin on March 2. The run includes arena dates across the UK, including four sold-out shows at the iconic O2 Arena, London. The tour has already sold over 215,000 tickets and has seen Dave perform arena shows across The Netherlands, France, Sweden, and more. Following the European leg, Dave will take the tour to the U.S., performing in major cities including Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Philadelphia.
