Experimental pop trailblazer Cobrah is stepping into a defining year with the announcement of her upcoming North American and European tour, arriving just as her long-awaited debut album Torn lands on March 6 via Atlantic Records. The run begins in March with an appearance at Treefort Fest, then winds through Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Austin, Chicago, Toronto, Montreal, and New York before heading overseas in May for dates in London, Berlin, and Paris. Adding to the momentum, Cobrah will also make her Coachella debut this April, following the buzz surrounding her immersive Gag Ball Halloween shows last fall.
Torn marks a major creative milestone for the Gothenburg-born artist. Written and creative directed entirely by Cobrah, the album pairs her most vulnerable songwriting to date with the provocative, high-impact production that has become her signature. Catwalk-ready basslines collide with sharp electronic textures and intimate, hushed vocals, forming a multidimensional self-portrait that feels both raw and theatrical. For an artist known for bold personas and extreme visual worlds, Torn pulls back the curtain. Cobrah has described the project as a moment of revealing her real self, balancing character-driven storytelling with deeply personal truths.
Vocally, the record sees her pushing into new territory. Long recognized for her sultry sing-speak delivery, Cobrah now leans into a more melodic and emotionally open performance style. That evolution threads through the album’s sonic palette, where experimental pop edges meet club-ready intensity. To shape this sound, she reunited with longtime collaborators Isac Hördegård and Hannes Roovers, who have been part of her journey since her 2019 breakout “IDFKA.” At the same time, she broadened her circle, working with Illangelo, known for his work with The Weeknd, alongside Machinedrum and Tove Burman, whose songwriting credits include global pop hits.
Since emerging from Stockholm’s underground fetish scene, Cobrah has built a creative universe that blurs the lines between music, performance art, and fashion. Her 2019 EP ICON introduced her subversive vision and led to the launch of her label GAGBALL Records, while “IDFKA” earned a Swedish Grammis nomination for Music Video of the Year. The self-titled COBRAH EP in 2021 and 2023’s SUCCUBUS EP — which won a Swedish Grammis for Electro/Dance of the Year — further cemented her reputation as one of Europe’s most forward-thinking pop voices. Expanding that world, SUCCUBUS XXXTENDED featured collaborators like Amanda Lepore, Ayesha Erotica, and VTSS, while her Boiler Room London performance showcased her flair for high-concept, immersive live experiences.
Her creative reach extends far beyond the stage. A regular presence at New York and Paris Fashion Weeks, Cobrah has been embraced by designers including Dilara Fındıkoğlu, Dion Lee, and Matière Fécale, while her music has soundtracked campaigns for Jean Paul Gaultier, Mugler, Lancôme, and Viktor & Rolf. On screen, her single “BRAND NEW BITCH” recently featured in Yorgos Lanthimos’ 2024 film Kinds of Kindness and its official trailer, further signaling her growing cultural footprint.

With a debut album that peels back new emotional layers and a global tour set to bring her boundary-pushing vision to stages across continents, Cobrah enters this next chapter with both momentum and intent. Torn isn’t just an introduction — it’s a bold statement from an artist redefining what experimental pop performance can look and feel like in real time.
