After more than two decades rooted in the Valais region, Caprices Festival is entering a defining new chapter. The iconic Swiss winter gathering has confirmed that its flagship 2026 edition will take place at Eggli, Gstaad, introducing a reimagined alpine setting that elevates both production and experience while staying true to the festival’s founding spirit. Set high above the slopes with sweeping 360-degree views of the Swiss Alps, Eggli offers a dramatic natural backdrop where forward-thinking electronic music meets architectural precision.
The relocation brings with it a refined production concept that integrates existing alpine infrastructure to improve sound quality, weather protection, comfort, and flow. Purpose-built glasshouse stages, continuous gondola access, and a layout designed for continuity mark a significant evolution for a festival that has long shaped the global blueprint for mountain-based electronic events.
Running across two weekends in March, Caprices Festival 2026 presents a carefully balanced programme that reflects both the depth of its legacy and the direction of contemporary club culture.
Weekend One, taking place March 13–15, leans into high-energy, club-driven programming with a focus on forward momentum and peak-time intensity. Newly announced artists include Adolpho & Franky, Arapu, Argenis Brito, Bes Art, D’Julz, Dejan, Evgheniia, Madnax B2B Olivia, Manda Moor B2B Sirus Hood, Mateo Dufour, Mathew Jonson (Live), Phil Hunger, Prospa, Sweely (Live), and TT, forming a lineup designed for long, immersive sessions at altitude.
Weekend Two, from March 20–22, expands the musical journey into deeper, more exploratory territory across house, minimal, and underground sounds. Weekend Two also introduces two curated stage hosts that reinforce Caprices Festival’s commitment to underground culture. Slapfunk, the Amsterdam-based collective known for its UKG-inflected minimal sound, brings its distinctive energy to Eggli, while Grocerie, a respected Zurich collective, joins the programme, highlighting the festival’s ongoing connection to Switzerland’s club ecosystem.

The move to Gstaad represents more than a change of location. It signals an evolution in how Caprices Festival integrates music, environment, and infrastructure. A new access system will see gondolas operating continuously from midday until 4:00 AM, delivering guests to the summit in just seven minutes. At the top, three distinct glasshouse stages define the experience. The Peak Stage is designed for large-scale performances framed by panoramic alpine views, the CNTRL Stage offers a more intimate setting for extended sets and rare back-to-back sessions, and the Ridge Stage focuses on experimental sounds and immersive concepts. Across all spaces, the festival maintains its reputation for world-class sound and ambitious production.
“Caprices has always been about the connection between nature, art and music. By moving to Gstaad, we remain faithful to this vision while taking the overall experience to an even higher level,” says Maxime Léonard, Co-Founder and CEO of Caprices Festival.
The 2026 edition brings together long-standing collaborators alongside artists shaping today’s global electronic landscape. Returning names include Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano in a special back-to-back with Dennis Cruz, Sonja Moonear, Sven Väth, DJ Tennis, Jamie Jones, Bedouin, Dan Ghenacia B2B Alci, and RPR Soundsystem, reflecting the deep relationships the festival has built over more than 20 years.
