New York City nightlife institution Teksupport has announced a landmark Memorial Day Weekend event, revealing a rare open-air performance from electronic music icon Solomun. Set for May 23, the show will take place at the historic Fulton Fish Market in Hunts Point, marking the first time the venue’s East River waterfront will host large-scale outdoor concert programming.
Few artists carry the cultural weight of Solomun, whose emotionally driven, marathon-style sets have made him one of the most respected figures in global club culture. The Bosnian-born producer has spent over a decade shaping dance floors worldwide, from his iconic Solomun +1 residency in Ibiza to the ongoing influence of his Dynamic Music label. His ability to balance underground ethos with global resonance has cemented his status as a defining voice in electronic music.
For Teksupport, the event represents another bold step in its mission to reimagine nightlife through space and sound. Known for transforming unconventional locations into immersive dance experiences, the collective has staged events in former submarine factories, navy yards, subterranean ballrooms, passenger boats, and even Grand Central Station. The Fulton Fish Market setting introduces a new scale and atmosphere—an active, working waterfront offering a raw and distinctly New York backdrop for one of dance music’s most celebrated performers.
The event is presented in collaboration with the Fulton Fish Market Cooperative, signaling an expanded cultural vision for the historic site. Founded in 1822, the nonprofit, member-owned organization operates from a 400,000-square-foot facility in the Bronx, supplying nearly half of New York City’s seafood. This partnership positions the market not only as a cornerstone of the city’s food infrastructure, but also as an emerging platform for major cultural moments.
Under the direction of founder Rob Toma, Teksupport has spent the past decade reshaping the city’s nightlife through forward-thinking curation and meticulous production. The brand is widely credited with introducing influential European dance music concepts to the United States, playing a pivotal role in the evolution of New York’s underground and large-scale electronic music scene.
Speaking on the announcement, Rob Toma shared: “After many years of work, we’re excited to partner with the Fulton Fish Market Cooperative and the City to unlock a truly special location in Hunts Point, continuing our commitment to pushing culture forward in New York City.”
