The rollout began with a striking rework of “DROWNING IN MY ROOM” by French artist and producer Contrecoeur, who transformed the track’s fragile intensity into a hypnotic, groove-driven experience while preserving its emotional weight.
Now, JVLY offers the next chapter of the project with an invigorating remix of “LOCUM” by Brisbane producer Lemonade Baby. Known for his buoyant rhythms, warm indie-dance sensibilities, and breezy electronic textures, Lemonade Baby injects fresh momentum into one of SUNDER’s most introspective songs. The remix brings a vibrant pulse and forward motion, creating a compelling contrast that still honors the mood and tension of the original.
Reflecting on the collaboration, JVLY explains that the connection formed organically. Meeting Brannon (Lemonade Baby) while attending SXSW, the two began talking music while JVLY was deep in the process of shaping SUNDER LUXE. When Lemonade Baby expressed interest in reimagining “LOCUM”, the pairing immediately made sense. The remix leans into the song’s underlying irony, highlighting the contrast between its tender surface and its emotionally brutal core. Rather than softening the track, the new version amplifies that tension, casting a sharper light on its darker truths.
For Lemonade Baby, the approach was intentional. After reconnecting with JVLY in Sydney during SXSW 2025, he learned that “LOCUM” was both JVLY’s favorite track and the only one yet to be remixed. Choosing to flip the song’s structure entirely, he transformed the original slow, 6/4 R&B ballad into a fast-paced, melancholic electronic cut. The result reshapes the song’s emotional delivery while preserving its spirit, offering a new perspective on a fan-favorite moment from SUNDER.
