UK-based producer Syncia and international artist and label boss CASH ONLY officially launch a new collaborative project with their debut single, “Surrender,” arriving January 16 via Famous When Dead Records. The release marks the beginning of a deeper creative partnership rooted in bass-forward, garage-inspired house music, blending bumpy grooves with darker, underground energy.
The collaboration first sparked after CASH ONLY was tipped off about an unshazamable track played by Syncia during a Back To Mine event for Days Of Disco at Pikes Ibiza. Drawn to the sound, CASH tracked down the artist behind the record and quickly signed the track to Famous When Dead Records. What started as a single release soon evolved into a full-fledged project built around shared influences, mutual trust, and a love for garage and jungle-rooted club music.
Since connecting, the duo has been steadily building momentum in the studio, with several unreleased tracks already in the pipeline. Among them is a forthcoming collaboration featuring vocalist Elje, known for work alongside Notion, Murphy’s Law, Wilfy D, and Jack Marlow. Their sound has already begun reaching wider audiences, including a featured NU WAVE mix on Scott Garcia’s UKG show on Kiss FM. On the live front, Syncia and CASH ONLY have performed together at ADE for Select Radio and more recently at Basing House in London, with additional shows planned throughout 2026.
Speaking on the collaboration, CASH ONLY shared that working with Syncia has allowed him to fully explore the darker, more underground side of house music that reflects his garage and jungle roots. He noted the natural creative alignment between them, describing studio sessions filled with shared references, mutual inspiration, and a focus on building tracks that translate directly to the dancefloor.
Syncia echoed the sentiment, highlighting the rare creative freedom the partnership offers. He emphasized their shared goal of making music that not only reflects the sounds they love, but genuinely connects with crowds and creates memorable moments in club spaces.
Alongside the Syncia collaboration, CASH ONLY is also preparing to roll out the CASH ONLY Chronicles Tour, a video-driven project created with Henry Fisher, son of internet personality “Big John” Fisher, who coined the term “BOSH.” The series blends high-energy house and garage sets with storytelling and humor, and has already gained strong online traction. An international tour is set to follow, with planned stops including Phuket, Bangkok, London, Manchester, Birmingham, Nottingham, Amsterdam, Ibiza, and Zante.
In recent years, CASH ONLY has continued to establish himself as a leading figure in the UK electronic music scene, performing at major festivals and venues such as Glastonbury, Hï Ibiza, Café Mambo, Defected Croatia, Reading, Parklife, and Pikes Ibiza. His label, Famous When Dead Records, has built a reputation for chart-topping releases and collaborations with both emerging and established artists.
Meanwhile, Syncia has steadily carved out his own space on the global house and techno circuit. With releases topping Beatport and Traxsource charts on labels such as Taikomochi Records, Release LDN, and Dense & Pika’s Kneaded Pains, alongside BBC Radio 1 support and international performances from Miami to Ibiza, his influence continues to grow.
With “Surrender,” Syncia and CASH ONLY set the tone for a collaborative series focused on heavy low-end, infectious grooves, and underground club energy. As more releases follow, the project signals a bold new chapter for both artists while further strengthening the presence of Famous When Dead Records within the UK electronic music landscape.
