With Løve and Olivver The Kid come together on “Blue Starlight,” a luminous new single arriving January 9 via Heaven Sent, the imprint curated by SLANDER. The collaboration taps into nostalgia without leaning on sentimentality, framing fleeting moments of youth, intimacy, and memory beneath an endless night sky. It’s a natural meeting point for two artists whose work thrives on emotional precision and thoughtful restraint, balancing electronic sophistication with human warmth.
“Blue Starlight” unfolds patiently, allowing its atmosphere to breathe. Gentle acoustic guitar phrases and wistful piano chords establish a sense of closeness before Olivver The Kid’s airy vocal enters—soft, reflective, and quietly aching rather than overtly dramatic. As the track develops, shimmering synth layers and relaxed percussion widen the emotional landscape, while stacked harmonies add lift without overpowering the core sentiment. The song’s centerpiece arrives in a chilled, brass-tinged drop that feels celebratory yet controlled, eventually resolving into a melodic bass-driven outro that closes with calm assurance. The result is a fluid journey between introspection and release, equally suited for solitary late-night listening or a crowded, lights-low dancefloor.
The collaboration grew from an organic moment within the melodic dance community. With Løve and Olivver The Kid first connected during Hoang’s Heartstrings album showcase in Los Angeles, where both artists appeared on the project—With Løve on “Kids Again” and Olivver The Kid on “Keep Me Waiting.” That shared creative orbit quickly turned into a direct exchange, allowing “Blue Starlight” to evolve as a true co-write rather than a remote feature stitched together from separate parts.
Reflecting on the process, With Løve explains, “Olivver the Kid and I met at a show in LA last February and shortly after that connected again online. I sent him over the initial demo that I had been working on and we began writing and working on it right away. I’m so excited to finally share ‘Blue Starlight’ with the world. This is a special track that I hope will resonate with a lot of people.”
Speaking on the song’s meaning, Olivver The Kid adds, “‘Blue Starlight’ is a song about a moment in time. This nostalgic memory under the stars of youth and love—a sonic coming-of-age journey.”
With Løve continues to shape his project around emotional connection and genre fluidity, blending future bass structures with acoustic textures and a community-first ethos. His catalog includes collaborations with Sabai, Kellin Quinn, RYZYN, and dreamr, alongside notable sync placements such as Netflix’s Love Is Blind.
Olivver The Kid, a New Orleans native now based in Los Angeles, brings a diverse musical background shaped by rap, R&B, rock, and alt-pop. Transitioning from indie pop drummer to solo storyteller, he has built a reputation through releases with Dabin, Said The Sky, and Jason Ross, as well as his high-profile appearance on “Time” alongside G-Eazy and Skizzy Mars.
On “Blue Starlight,” With Løve and Olivver The Kid meet in a shared emotional space, crafting a track that feels suspended in time—softly glowing, deeply personal, and made to be returned to again and again.
“Blue Starlight” is available on all platforms via Heaven Sent.
