BAUGRUPPE90 Lock Into Late-Night Pressure With “Body Drift”

Berlin-based duo BAUGRUPPE90 return to HARD Recs with “Body Drift,” a peak-time techno cut built for extended nights and fully dialed-in dancefloors. Following their label debut “Flight Tracker,” the new release refines the pair’s hybrid approach—where industrial futurism intersects with the propulsion of ’90s rave energy and the mechanics of early-2000s club culture.

Anchored by a commanding hardgroove foundation, “Body Drift” moves with relentless momentum. Dense, rolling kicks and pummeling percussion lock the track into forward motion, while spectral atmospheres slip through the mix, adding depth and tension. Shimmering, progressive-leaning synth lines and carefully timed chord hits lift the arrangement just enough to let the groove breathe, without ever easing the pressure. A hazy vocal loop floats in and out of focus, drifting across the track like vapor beneath strobe lights—hypnotic, understated, and quietly magnetic.

Reflecting on the tone of the release, BAUGRUPPE90 explain, “‘Body Drift’ brings out the softer side of us and allows us to show even more how versatile our sound is. It has to be soft, sometimes, so that it can be hard.

The single follows the momentum of “Flight Tracker,” which earned support from tastemakers including 33 Below, Oliver Heldens, Stoneface & Terminal, Julian Mesa, Alan Fraze, and M.I.T.A, alongside press coverage from Undrtone, House Nest, IHouseU, Rhythm Resonance, Last Day Deaf, FrontView Magazine, Fresh Music Freaks, R Sound, Grauu, Beat For Beat, and Perspective. Together, the two releases outline a clear trajectory—club-focused, detail-driven, and confidently future-facing.

Comprised of Louis Köhler and Paul Vogler, BAUGRUPPE90 operate at the core of Berlin’s techno ecosystem, blending industrial textures and futuristic aesthetics with influences drawn from mid-’90s drum & bass, house, and early techno. Their sound balances nostalgia and precision, engineered for modern systems while preserving the raw physicality that defined earlier rave eras.

The duo’s momentum continues to build following a 15-date Fall tour across North America and Australia, with upcoming headline shows at Mai Mao in France, Flash in Washington, D.C., TAKEOVER 6IX and KONDUKTOR in Toronto, Halcyon SF, and a homecoming set at OST in Berlin.

With “Body Drift,” BAUGRUPPE90 further cement their presence in the late-night techno conversation. It’s a track made for dark rooms and restless bodies—forward-driving, immersive, and unconcerned with trends, quietly reshaping them from the inside out.

Body Drift” is available now on all platforms via HARD Recs.
