Antima Deepens His Dark Bass Identity With Ominous New Single “Black Speech” on Gud Vibrations

Italian producer Antima returns to Gud Vibrations with “Black Speech,” a crushing new release that sharpens his masked persona into its most foreboding form yet. Marking his third release on the imprint since 2024, the track further cements Antima’s position within dubstep’s darker frontier—where cinematic tension, metal-edged aggression, and uncompromising sound design collide.

“Black Speech” opens in ritualistic fashion, led by eerie, classical choral vocals that immediately establish an ominous atmosphere. Darkwave melodies and sweeping symphonic textures stretch the tension before the track snaps inward. As distorted sub-bass creeps into focus, the arrangement fractures into trench-style drops packed with laser-cut synths and suffocating low-end pressure. Each hit is deliberate and punishing, using negative space and raw grit to heighten the track’s psychological impact. This is dubstep engineered to unsettle—cold, confrontational, and relentlessly heavy.

Speaking on the inspiration behind the track’s epic tone, Antima shares: “The main inspiration for this track has been Lord of the Rings books.”

The single follows Antima’s recent releases “Vortex” and his Gud Vibrations debut “Bleeding Eyes,” forming a shadow-drenched run that has steadily expanded his international presence. Support has arrived from outlets including Find Your Sounds, Reinelex Music, Frontview Magazine, Vents Magazine, Dubstep Neon, and 7Clouds Dubstep, while his sound has translated powerfully to the stage alongside acts like Black Tiger Sex Machine and Kai Wachi during the Skull Machine Tour.

Originally from Italy, Antima has spent more than nine years refining his sonic identity. After cutting his teeth under earlier aliases inspired by the sound design heavyweights of the 2010s, he has emerged with a darker, more theatrical vision. Releases on major bass labels including Disciple and Gud Vibrations have earned support from scene leaders such as SLANDER, NGHTMRE, Kai Wachi, and Oddprophet, while live appearances at globally recognized events like Rampage and Dante Bass have reinforced his reputation within the underground. His work also extends into the darker bass orbit surrounding Code: Pandorum, further anchoring his place in the scene’s heavier realms.

With “Black Speech,” Antima fully commits to the sinister world he’s been building—uncompromising, cinematic, and unapologetically brutal. The release stands as another decisive step forward, aligning seamlessly with Gud Vibrations’ forward-thinking bass ethos while pushing even deeper into the bleak, visceral edges of modern dubstep.

Antima’s new single “Black Speech” is available now on all platforms via Gud Vibrations.
