Australia’s largest multi-day festival, Beyond The Valley, has officially closed the chapter on its landmark 10th anniversary, delivering a sold-out celebration that welcomed 40,000 festival-goers to Barunah Plains across four days from December 28 to January 1. Presented by Untitled Group and triple j, with support from Visit Victoria, the milestone edition sold out instantly and reaffirmed its place as one of Australia’s most defining music experiences.
The anniversary weekend was packed with unforgettable headline moments. Dom Dolla ushered in the New Year with a massive countdown set, Addison Rae made festival history with her first-ever festival appearance, Kid Cudi returned to Australian stages for the first time in over a decade, and Turnstile delivered one of the most commanding live sets of the weekend.
Live performances proved central to the celebration’s emotional impact. JoJo delivered a nostalgia-fuelled set packed with fan favourites including Leave (Get Out) and Too Little Too Late, while The Temper Trap took over the Valley Stage at golden hour, leading thousands in a singalong to Sweet Disposition—a moment that quickly spread across social media and became one of the festival’s most shared highlights. Surprise sets remained a core part of the Beyond The Valley identity, with secret performances from XCLUB., STÜM, and others delivering the festival’s signature “you had to be there” energy.
The festivities kicked off on December 28 with early momentum across Dance Dome, Dr Dan’s, and the festival’s discovery stages, setting the tone for the days ahead. On December 29, the Valley Stage hosted a stacked run featuring Miss Kaninna, Mallrat, 070 Shake, and JoJo, before Addison Rae stepped into a coveted late-night slot. Addressing the crowd mid-set, Rae shared, “This is the first festival I’ve ever done,” marking a defining moment for both the artist and the festival.
Over at Dance Dome, day two leaned heavily into club energy, with standout sets from Chris Stussy and KETTAMA, before DJ HEARTSTRING closed the night. The festival’s first secret set also unfolded inside the Dome, with Orkestrated surprising crowds and setting the tone for the weekend’s hidden moments.
Day three blended international and homegrown talent across the site. Ben Böhmer, Channel Tres, and Spacey Jane took over the Valley Stage, while XCLUB. drew massive crowds for a secret Dance Dome appearance. The night continued with high-intensity sets from Jazzy, VTSS, and Patrick Mason, before I Hate Models delivered a relentless close.
New Year’s Eve marked the emotional peak of the anniversary celebrations. The Valley Stage built through standout performances from The Temper Trap and Turnstile, before Kid Cudi made his long-awaited Australian return. The crowd erupted as he closed with Pursuit of Happiness, thousands singing every word. Reflecting on the moment, Cudi later shared on Instagram, “Man, bringing in the New Year at BTV was the most epic shit ever!!! I had the best time w u all!!!”
The night culminated with Dom Dolla leading the official countdown into 2026 in front of one of the largest crowds in Beyond The Valley history. The festival’s final moments unfolded at Dance Dome, where SWIM delivered the closing set of the 2025/26 edition.
Reflecting on the milestone, Untitled Group Co-Founder and Managing Partner Nicholas Greco shared, “Reaching ten years of Beyond The Valley is something we’re incredibly proud of. Moments like Addison Rae’s debut festival performance, Kid Cudi’s return to Australia, Dom Dolla counting down the new year, and the response to our surprise sets really capture what BTV is all about—discovery, connection, and shared experiences.”
Beyond the lineup, the 10th anniversary showcased how far the festival experience has evolved. Immersive activations played a major role, including Smirnoff’s Schmall Klub, serving free ice cream from a retro-style storefront; Jack Daniel’s House Party, transformed into a fully realised 1970s house party; and Red Bull’s Unforeseen Party, hidden inside a reimagined gas station.
Wellness and culture also took centre stage, with The Sanctuary presented by QV Ceramides offering ice baths, yoga, pilates, and meditation, The Lounge Room hosting a full podcast program presented by The Daily Aus, and The Palms Pool House emerging as one of the weekend’s most popular destinations.
With its signature stages, elevated production, immersive environments, and a lineup spanning global icons and rising talent, Beyond The Valley’s 10th anniversary marked its most ambitious chapter yet. As festival-goers departed Barunah Plains, the festival once again proved why it remains a rite of passage for Australian music lovers and a benchmark for festivals nationwide.
