Independent pop shapeshifter Ella Collier is back with “SLEEPWALKING,” the eighth track to surface from her debut album DANGEROUS—and one of her most emotionally charged releases to date. Created alongside producers Sam Vendig (Chromeo, Ryman Leon) and Stefano Pigliapoco (The Kid LAROI), the song drifts into the in-between space where loss, memory, and longing fold into one another.

Ella describes “SLEEPWALKING” as the limbo that follows when someone disappears from your life, yet your mind refuses to release them.
It’s the emotional purgatory you feel after someone’s absence… that belief you’ll meet again, even if it’s only in your dreams,” she shares. Originally written in the wake of a breakup, the song has taken on broader meaning for her—capturing not only heartbreak but the lingering ache of losing someone to death or simply to a life that no longer includes you.

A cinematic Vevo music video arrives on December 19, expanding the track’s shadowy R&B atmosphere into a visual journey through grief’s inner corridors. Soft keys, atmospheric tension, and trap-tinted percussion guide viewers through a dreamlike state where memory takes over and the waking world blurs.

“SLEEPWALKING” is another window into DANGEROUS, Ella’s 12-track deep dive into ego, impulse, desire, and fear—a project that builds a lush, future-leaning pop universe around her sharp lyricism and bold emotional storytelling. The rollout continues into 2026 with her next single, “17.”

Momentum around Ella has been rising fast. She recently appeared in Vanity Fair, while singles like “I DON’T DO DRUGS” and the Lizzo-cosigned “DON’T FOLLOW ME” have surged across the independent landscape, landing top placements on Apple Music’s New in Pop (#9) and Spotify’s SALT (#5). She’s also been busy on the media circuit, performing live—including the debut of “SLEEPWALKING” at The Moroccan Lounge—and appearing on CBS News to spotlight her rapidly growing profile.

Her presence is extending beyond music alone, with notable syncs in Love Island, NBA 2K, and an appearance in Frankie Grande’s recent music video “I Don’t Remember It.” Coverage from outlets like Wonderland and GALORE has further cemented Ella as one of pop’s most intriguing rising voices.

With “SLEEPWALKING,” Ella Collier doesn’t just add another single to her debut era—she sharpens the emotional core of the world she’s building and shows exactly why her trajectory is climbing fast.
