Alice Glass Unleashes New Single “MERCY KILL”

by Press Release
1 minutes read

Alice Glass returns with her striking new single “MERCY KILL”, accompanied by a music video directed by Yulia Shur. Shot on 16mm film and treated with corrosive chemicals to distort and degrade the footage, the video delivers a bizarre, atmospheric visual with no digital effects, perfectly complementing the glitchy, high-voltage energy of the track.

“MERCY KILL” follows “CATCH AND RELEASE” from earlier this year, both offering the first glimpse of a larger project from Alice Glass set to arrive in 2026.

Rising to prominence as the frontwoman of Crystal Castles in the late 2000s, Glass helped define a generation with a sound that blurred noise, pop, and punk, earning acclaim from Pitchfork, NME (John Peel Award for Innovation), and a global cult following. Known for her ability to shift between eerie vocals and unrelenting intensity, she brought raw energy to stages worldwide while shaping the visual and sonic landscape of her era.

Since leaving Crystal Castles in 2014 and speaking out about the abuse she endured, Alice Glass has reemerged as a solo artist, DJ, and symbol of artistic resilience. Her 2022 debut album PREY//IV established her as a commanding solo voice, and she continued to push boundaries with her 2024 collaborations, including “REMAINS” with CLIP and a cover of The Smashing Pumpkins’ “Drown.”

With “MERCY KILL”, Alice Glass once again demonstrates her fearless approach to music and visuals, pushing further beyond genre and expectation.

Listen to “MERCY KILL” now and stay tuned for more from Alice Glass in 2026.
