Parisian producer IVORY makes a triumphant return to Bassrush Records with his latest single, “HIGH KNEES,” dropping November 12. A rare and playful force in modern bass music, IVORY channels his signature sound design into a tongue-in-cheek riddim workout engineered to get bodies moving.

A self-aware gym anthem disguised as a bass weapon, “HIGH KNEES” opens with sweeping cinematic glissandos reminiscent of a THX theater trailer, before launching into serrated synth squawks and gut-punching low-end that drive the track’s relentless momentum. Distorted vocal commands, part hype-man, part drill sergeant, add kinetic energy to every drop, making it impossible to remain still. The track is IVORY at his most unrestrained, blending playful humor with punishing precision.

“‘HIGH KNEES’ started as a joke in the studio,” IVORY explains. “I was messing around with this ridiculous gym-energy vocal and it somehow turned into one of my most fun drops ever. It’s a track made to get people moving literally. You can’t just stand still when it hits.”

The single follows last year’s ‘Steel Reign’ EP, a four-track display of force that earned coverage from Dub Rebellion, Affinity Ascension, Find Your Sounds, Dubstep uNk, Frecuencia Alternativa, and Beat For Beat, alongside live support from SLANDER, Blanke, and Kompany. On stage, IVORY has dominated major events including BOO! Seattle, SLANDER’s Starbase, Bass Canyon, Summoning of the Eclipse, Elektric Park, Tomorrowland, and Lost Lands, with an upcoming appearance at Apocalypse: Zombieland.

Over the years, IVORY has built a reputation for pushing the boundaries of bass music while keeping a mischievous edge. Collaborations with DJ Diesel (Shaquille O’Neal), HURTBOX, Whales, Shiverz, Dirtyphonics, and SampliFire showcase his ability to balance brute force with intricate detail. From his 2016 breakout “Retro,” which topped Beatport charts, to festival staples like “Jackpot” with Kompany, he remains one of bass music’s most inventive and dependable disruptors.

With “HIGH KNEES,” IVORY brings his signature energy into the gym, proving that even the heaviest drops can carry a pulse of pure fun.
