Written in a single studio session during his time as a pool lifeguard, the title nods to the real-world metric used to measure swimmers—bather load—reimagined here as a metaphor for emotional weight. “‘BATHER LOAD’ is that quiet tension. A calm that feels haunted. Surrounded by people but still somehow alone in the water,” shares Knoir.
