Interstellar Recordings continues to define the cutting edge of modern progressive house with the release of ‘Celestia Vol. 2’, the second chapter in its acclaimed compilation series spotlighting the label’s brightest stars.
Opening the collection, Jesabel sets the tone with “I Can’t Sleep,” a hypnotic voyage through cosmic textures and deep rhythmic flow. Anchored by driving drums and ethereal pads, the track unfolds like a cinematic dreamscape designed for the late-night hours.
Next, Jäger & Settow and Inner Mind deliver “Keep,” a meditative yet powerful cut built on layered synths, rolling percussion, and emotional depth. Its otherworldly progression captures the delicate balance between introspection and movement, embodying the essence of the Interstellar sound.
Heard Right and Kiholm follow with “Timer,” a glowing, atmospheric collaboration that merges shimmering textures and progressive emotion into a transcendent listening experience. Rounding out the EP, Lost Prince offers “Clock,” a cinematic powerhouse of haunting melodies and driving groove—bold, mysterious, and crafted for the dance floor.
Reflecting on her contribution, Jesabel shares, “This is one of those goosebump records for me. I wanted to create a moment within my sets—hard-hitting kick, groove, catchy lead, but most importantly, a break that builds into the second drop euphorically. Less is more sometimes—the vocal is simple yet effective. I fell in love with the process of making this one.”
Explaining the meaning behind “Keep,” Settow notes, “The lyrics reflect that there are things in life that remain hidden, and understanding them is a personal journey that brings peace. The music mirrors this tension and release through hypnotic rhythms and emotive melodies.”
Discussing “Timer,” Heard Right adds, “Our collaborative single envelops the listener in a warm, atmospheric soundscape—delicate melodies and a subtle, hypnotic rhythm exploring the fleeting nature of a moment.”
Kiholm echoes the sentiment: “‘Timer’ began as a melody stuck in my head. I built a simple beat around it and sent it to Heard Right, who instantly connected with its energy and elevated it.”
Closing the release, Lost Prince sums up his artistic vision: “This is how I believe hypnotic house should sound—lean, locked-in, and immersive.”
With ‘Celestia Vol. 2,’ Interstellar Recordings once again showcases why it stands at the forefront of the progressive movement—a label curating music that’s not only made for the dance floor, but also for the soul.
