French duo Parallelle return with their highly anticipated new album ‘11th Avenue’, released via their Lisbon-based label FOLDER. Coinciding with the album’s arrival, the duo has announced their North American tour, set to bring their signature analog warmth and spontaneous energy to clubs and festivals across the continent.
Rooted in the textures of live instrumentation and analog recording, ‘11th Avenue’ channels the moody sophistication of 1980s New York jazz lounges through a contemporary lens of house and electronic music. The project features collaborations with Fulltone and Nicolas Masseyeff, whose styles blend seamlessly with Parallelle’s fluid mix of jazz, soul, and groove-driven club sounds.
The album’s lead single, “The Collab” with Dino Lenny, is a funk-infused cut inspired by early-2000s French house, led by a gritty, distorted bassline played by Alessandro Mazzieri. The track embodies the organic chaos and humor that sparked its creation, born out of an unexpected friendship during a traffic-jammed trip to Tomorrowland Winter.
Other standouts include “Tastes Like Gold,” a smoky, hypnotic groove layered with supple basslines, intricate percussion, and misty synths, alongside the hushed, emotional vocals of Joly. “Searching For The Groove” pulses with 2-step rhythms, live keys, and saxophone, while “Mind, Body & Soul” reimagines dubby tech house through a futuristic lens with vocals from Allysha Joy.
Following acclaimed performances at Coachella, Burning Man, Tomorrowland, and Pacha Ibiza, Parallelle now embark on an international tour featuring their signature hybrid DJ and live sets. The upcoming run will include stops in London, New York City, Paris, Montreal, and Los Angeles, kicking off at the end of October.
Fresh from performing to over 20,000 fans in Lisbon, the duo continue to evolve as boundary-pushing curators and performers. Extending their artistry beyond music, Parallelle have partnered with rising fashion label Ciaran on a limited ‘11th Avenue’ capsule collection, including exclusive T-shirts, hats, and jackets launched during Amsterdam Dance Event this October.
