Breakout bass producer Cool Customer continues his fall rollout with the release of his vibrant new single “Peppermint,” a dynamic blend of analog distortion, glitch-hop swing, and experimental groove that perfectly captures the project’s playful-meets-powerful identity. Equal parts silly and serious, “Peppermint” leans into Cool Customer’s unique duality—bridging nostalgia with futuristic flair and cementing his role as one of bass music’s most intriguing rising talents.
The single follows a breakout weekend that saw Cool Customer perform as direct support for Tape B’s debut Red Rocks headline show on October 10, followed by a set at GRiZ’s first-ever Seven Stars Festival on October 11. These milestone performances reinforced his growing reputation as a force in experimental bass, captivating audiences with his left-field energy and intricate sound design.
At the end of his Red Rocks performance, Cool Customer unveiled a new fan-driven experience: the Customer Service Hotline at +1 (234) 540-1420. Fans were invited to leave voicemail feedback in exchange for early access to “Peppermint.” Since its launch, the hotline has teased unreleased material and cryptic voice messages, evolving into a mysterious and interactive campaign that connects directly with his community.
“Peppermint” follows Cool Customer’s October 1 release “The M.F,” a gritty and percussive statement piece that set the tone for his fall project. Both singles build toward his upcoming EP, due this November, which promises to expand his sonic palette and storytelling approach. With early co-signs from Zeds Dead, Subtronics, and Jade Cicada, Cool Customer continues to forge his path through an inventive, grassroots-driven approach that resonates with both fans and fellow artists.
