Today, multi-genre artist and global dance music powerhouse John Summit releases his brand-new Playa Package compilation, continuing the unstoppable momentum from his standout sets at Burning Man and the recent Mayan Warrior Pop-Up in Los Angeles.
A Burning Man attendee since 2022, John Summit has long been captivated by the legendary Mayan Warrior sunrise tradition — a moment he once dreamed of soundtracking himself. This year, that dream became a reality. His electrifying sunrise set at Black Rock City drew rave reviews, solidifying a full-circle moment for the artist. Inspired by the energy, artistry, and unity of the Burning Man community, John also performed at the Mayan Warrior Pop-Up earlier this month, raising funds for the Mayan Warrior non-profit and deepening his connection to its creative mission.
“After my first Burning Man and experiencing a Mayan Warrior sunrise, I was so inspired that it became a long-term goal of mine to one day play on their car,” John Summit shares. “A few years later, I got the invite, and I knew I had to come proper, so I prepped for months, making edits and reaching out to other artists for remixes that would fit the vibe. All of these remixes were crafted specifically for my Burning Man set — some of my biggest tracks reimagined and reborn in the desert. In addition to my special ‘crystallized’ playa rework, we tapped some of our favorite producers from within the community — artists who live and breathe its ethos and whose sounds perfectly capture its beauty, grit, and radical expression.”
The Playa Package features six transformative tracks, including John’s own remix of his festival anthem “crystallized (feat. Inéz)” — a track that became a highlight during his sets at Tomorrowland and Outside Lands even before its official release. The compilation reinterprets some of his most iconic records with deeper grooves, innovative production, and a spirit built for the desert’s boundless energy.

This summer alone, he performed his biggest UK show to date at London’s O2 Arena, and hosted the inaugural Experts Only Festival NYC — now recognized as New York City’s largest dance music festival, drawing over 50,000 fans.
