Belgium’s Pegassi storms into HARD Recs with his debut single, “Get Up,” a clobbering hardgroove anthem designed to ignite dancefloors worldwide. Out September 12, the track arrives in the middle of his global summer tour and paves the way for his highly anticipated U.S. dates, which include stops at Escape Halloween, Amnesia Ibiza, Awakenings Festival, and Sziget Festival.
Showcasing his relentless approach to production, “Get Up” layers a shadowy low-end pulse with metallic clanks, throbbing bass plucks, and spectral atmospheres. Commanding vocal chops slice through the groove, while detuned synths and the return of his signature bell tones amplify the track’s hypnotic drive. The result is a peak-time weapon built for chaos, crafted to match the intensity of his forthcoming U.S. tour.
Speaking on the inspiration behind the track, Pegassi explains, “A lot of people were in my DMs asking about my notorious ‘bells’ and begging to ‘bring the bells back.’ And I just wanted something different, so I went digging for sounds. Cooked this one up and it embodies the energy I want to bring on my first U.S. tour in September. This one is for the fans!”
The Antwerp native has quickly carved out his place in the underground, blending elements of trance, eurodance, techno, and house into a sound that’s both raw and euphoric. His breakout remix of Rae Sremmurd’s “No Type” earned over 11 million streams, while follow-ups like “Yoyoyo” solidified his standing as a festival mainstay. His tracks have been supported by tastemakers such as Fred Again.., Marlon Hoffstadt, TRYM, VTSS, DJ Boring, BLK, Anetha, and Bad Boombox.
On stage, Pegassi has brought his high-energy sets to Tomorrowland, Boiler Room, Modul’air, and beyond, while his Sweet Nothing event series continues to expand his reputation as both an artist and curator. With “Get Up” marking his official HARD Recs debut, he solidifies himself as one of Europe’s most exciting exports and a bold new force on the international circuit.
