Myd has officially released his highly anticipated new album Mydnight, out now via Ed Banger Records / Because Music.
Previewed throughout the summer during his extensive run of DJ sets and live shows, Mydnight marks the boldest statement yet from the acclaimed French DJ, producer, singer, and songwriter.
To celebrate the release, Myd will embark on a North American tour this fall, bringing both DJ sets and his groundbreaking new live show to some of the continent’s most iconic venues. Stops include Newspeak in Montreal (Nov 28), Mod Club in Toronto (Nov 29), Public Records in New York (Dec 4), 1720 in Los Angeles (Dec 11), and Monarch in San Francisco (Dec 12), before closing with a show in Mexico City (Dec 13). Already a hit across European festivals, the live performance blurs the lines between fiction and reality with a pioneering multi-screen, multi-camera setup, now primed to captivate North American audiences.
Mydnight is a kaleidoscopic journey through club euphoria, playful honesty, and technicolor emotion. Featuring Myd’s own vocals on every track, the album brings together a global cast of collaborators including Channel Tres, Calcutta, Trueno, Carlita, and Bethanie Home (aka Kacy Hill).
Highlights include the samba rhythms and stadium whistles of “So High,” the intimate tenderness of “Be Someone New” with Bethanie Home, and the irresistible groove of “All That Glitters Is Not Gold” featuring Channel Tres and Trueno. Another standout, “Sweatin’,” has already become a live favorite, built around a sample of Ace’s 1974 classic “How Long.”
For the dancefloor purists, Mydnight also delivers straight-up house anthems like “In My Head” featuring Carlita, “Made Me Feel Alive,” and the monster album closer “The Wizard.” Meanwhile, the reflective “9am” offers a tender soundtrack for those who’ve carried the night into morning.
With Mydnight, Myd bares it all—his energy, vulnerability, and experiences collected over years of performing worldwide, from Pikes Ibiza to the Champions League Finals and the Paralympic Closing Ceremony in Paris.
