Fresh off a 13-date headline run across Europe and Asia in support of his March release, Protected, Swedish superproducer Woesum returns with a rework of “HowManyDays?” featuring Jackzebra and DJ Ess. Alongside the new single, Woesum has announced Protected V2, a reimagined version of the original project featuring fresh contributions from Hixxy, Joon Gloom, Eurohead, Kamixlo, Lauren Dufus, and Skin on Skin.

Protected saw Woesum dive back into the trance, house, and eurodance sounds that defined his youth, weaving those influences with his signature cloud-rap and plugg production style. The result was described by Office Magazine as music that “sounds like the end of something and the beginning of something else at once.” On the maximalist, synth-driven, and 808-heavy reworking of HowManyDays?, Chengdu-born rapper Jackzebra and underground producer DJ Ess deliver muddy, autotuned vocals and a rap-forward edge that push the track into new territory.

With Protected V2, Woesum promises a bold reimagining of his latest EP, connecting his boundary-pushing sound with a diverse range of artists from across the global electronic scene.

Protected follows last year’s Paradise Tree EP and his 2021 debut album Blue Summer, which earned widespread acclaim and featured collaborations with Bladee, Yung Lean, Oklou, and more. Known for his contributions to projects such as evilgiane’s #HEAVENSGATE vol. 1, Kamixlo’s debut album Cicatriz, and Pretty Sick’s Streetwise, Woesum has been instrumental in shaping the sonic identities of influential collectives Drain Gang and Sad Boys.

Initially connected with Bladee, Yung Lean, Ecco2k, and Thaiboy Digital through Sweden’s underground rap scene, Woesum quickly rose as a go-to producer within the movement. His production is featured on Bladee’s acclaimed album Cold Visions and Yung Lean’s 2022 mixtape Stardust, further cementing his reputation as a forward-thinking force at the intersection of rap and electronic music.
