Live electronic duo Double Touch return to All Day I Dream with their stunning new four-track EP, Gran Amigo, available now on all platforms.
Across its 23-minute runtime, Gran Amigo showcases Double Touch’s ability to blur the boundaries between live musicianship and electronic production. Layered piano melodies, rich synth arrangements, and organic percussion form a mellifluous soundscape designed to move both the body and the heart.
The EP begins with “Come With Me,” a seven-minute slow-burner that sets the tone with hypnotic rhythms before flowing into the intricate drumwork of “Desire.” Its title track, “Gran Amigo,” swells with atmospheric textures and absorbing melodies, ultimately leading into the deep, meditative waves of “Amour.” The result is a mesmerizing collection that reflects Double Touch’s unmatched clarity and control on the dancefloor.
Based between Sydney and Los Angeles, Double Touch is comprised of classical pianist and composer Van-Anh Nguyen and DJ, drummer, and producer Mark Olsen. The duo made their All Day I Dream debut in 2019 with the Adagio EP, followed by Greatest Day in 2020 and Storm in 2022. They’ve also contributed to the label’s annual Summer Sampler compilations and joined Lee Burridge on select tour dates.
