Visionary electronic artist Chris Avantgarde announces his long-awaited debut album Hyperreal, arriving in 2026 via his newly launched label imprint of the same name in partnership with boom. records. Marking a pivotal chapter in his career, the album’s first single, “Energy,” is out now.
Following a landmark summer of collaborations with Anyma and Adam Beyer, back-to-back sets with Enrico Sanguiliano and Kevin de Vries, and standout performances at Ultra, EDC, and Tomorrowland, “Energy” offers the first glimpse into the sonic world of Hyperreal. Built on hypnotic synthwork, sawing basslines, and rolling percussion, the six-minute track is a peak-time heater that combines mechanical precision with undeniable dancefloor power. Already receiving support from Tiësto, Oliver Heldens, Alesso, Adriatique, Pete Tong, and Massano, it cements Avantgarde’s status as one of dance music’s most forward-thinking voices.

Born in Germany and now based in London, Avantgarde (Christian Vornweg) is a producer, composer, and DJ whose classically trained background in jazz and multi-instrumentation has allowed him to blur the boundaries between club culture and cinematic composition. His work has extended far beyond the dancefloor, with placements across film, trailers, and video games, earning him an ASCAP Synch of the Year Award. With over a decade as a behind-the-scenes producer, he now steps into the spotlight as both artist and label head.
