Today, 15th August, Moscoman unveils his new single “Eagle Rocks”, taken from his forthcoming album Caviar, set for release on 12th September via Disco Halal. One of the album’s clubbier tracks, the single captures the frustration of chasing something that never quite lands. Raw and restless, it embodies the feeling of being lost in the middle of it all.

“I was in LA, physically and emotionally stuck between a rock and a hard place — and Eagle Rocks represents both,” explains Moscoman. “It’s the sound of me chasing the dream, but never quite catching it.”

Moscoman, the genre-defying producer, DJ, and Disco Halal label head, returns with Caviar, a deeply personal and sonically expansive record that explores movement, reinvention, and creative freedom. Crafted over two years, the album departs from his signature electronic sound, embracing live instrumentation, indie influences, and a journey through multiple musical landscapes. Designed for full-band live performance, Caviar blends real bass, live drums, and minimal synths, redefining how Moscoman’s music can be experienced. “It’s not pure dance music,” he says. “It’s meant to be performed, felt, and lived.”

Written and recorded primarily in LA, the album was born out of experimentation and necessity. Without a dedicated studio, Moscoman sampled and manipulated sounds, later layering live drums, guitars, and synths to create a dynamic, textured record. “This album feels like a road trip,” he reflects. “It started as a shoegaze-meets-dance-floor concept, but evolved through collaborations and production refinements into something polished yet raw.”

Influenced by The Cure, The Smiths, Smashing Pumpkins, and Cocteau Twins, Moscoman blends nostalgia with modern production. While maintaining his signature “happy-sad” Nordic-inflected vibe, the album also resonates with the warmth and expansiveness of California, where much of it was conceived.

Featuring collaborators such as COMA, SCUDFM, Tom Sanders, Justin Strauss, The Golden Dregs, and Talee, the ten-track album embraces true collaboration. “I let them respond to the music in their own way, and that’s what makes it a genuine collaboration,” he notes.

Reflecting on Caviar, Moscoman adds, “Some of these songs came from a time when I’d gotten away from my own soul. Writing them was a way to understand and forgive myself. The rest of the album is about finding my way back, being present, and enjoying life again.”

Alongside Caviar, Moscoman celebrates ten years of Disco Halal, a label he founded in 2015. Rooted in Tel Aviv and based in Berlin, the imprint has cultivated a dedicated community of artists and music lovers while pushing underground music boundaries. A commemorative label compilation will accompany Moscoman’s live performances of Caviar.

Known for his unpredictability and energy, Moscoman brings a diverse background in indie, rock, house, acid, techno, dark disco, and synth to iconic stages such as Space Miami, Panorama Bar, Glastonbury, and Pacha Ibiza. 2025 promises new music and the return of his live band, alongside continued expansion of the Disco Halal family, where artists like Simple Symmetry, Red Axes, Trikk, and Auntie Flo freely express themselves. True to his ethos, the label remains a space that subverts expectations and surprises.

Moscoman’s single “Eagle Rocks” is available now, with Caviar releasing on 12th September via Disco Halal.
