World-renowned electronic music icon deadmau5 made a major reveal during his headlining set at VELD Festival in Toronto on Sunday, August 3, debuting his striking new 5LURPMAU5 mau5head. The bold blue, Fortnite-themed design celebrates his official arrival in the Fortnite Icon Series while also making waves in Rocket League through an all-new Limited Time Event (LTE).
As part of the Fortnite Icon Series, fans can grab the deadmau5 Bundle, which includes the deadmau5 Outfit—featuring the music-reactive Feel the Beat Style, plus the banamau5 and 5LURPMAU5 alternate Styles—along with themed Back Bling, Emotes, Instruments, and more.
Rocket League is also marking its 10th anniversary with the Rocket League Year 10 ft. deadmau5 LTE, delivering exclusive deadmau5-themed rewards and in-game items. Players can unlock the new “8ths” deadmau5 Anthem, the Synth-Sonic Boost, the deadmau5 Decade Octane Decal, and more, available now through August 20.
To soundtrack the celebration, deadmau5’s label mau5trap has dropped the Error5 EP, featuring four brand-new tracks created exclusively for Rocket League Year 10 ft. deadmau5: “Sixes,” “8ths,” “Patience,” and “What A Save.” The Error5 EP premiered first in Rocket League before hitting streaming platforms via mau5trap.
