Fresh from a massive two-month tour across Australia and New Zealand, UK drum and bass tastemaker Subsonic is keeping the momentum alive with a busy run of summer shows across Europe and the release of his brand-new single “Where You Are” featuring Aya Anne (aka Shadxwgirl), out via his own label Frequencies.
Known for carving a distinct path in the drum and bass scene, Subsonic has made his mark with acclaimed originals like “Last Time” and “Launchpad”, as well as standout remixes for Dom Dolla (“Miracle Maker”) and Kanine (“Left to Right”). His productions have earned global recognition, with Dom Dolla playing two of his tracks at EDC Las Vegas and heavyweight support from drum and bass icon Dimension.
This summer sees Subsonic lighting up festival stages across the UK and Europe, including Flight Festival in Romania, Rampage Open Air in Belgium, Worried About Henry’s Summer BBQ for Motion Bristol’s closing party, Magic Island Festival, and more. His live sets have already been road-testing “Where You Are” to strong reactions from crowds.
2025 has been a landmark year for the London-based producer, with major releases including “Castles In The Sky” with 1991 and “Pressure” alongside Ekko & Sidetrack, plus a fresh remix of his 2022 DNB Allstars anthem “Wait For Me” from Etherwood, breathing new life into a fan favourite.
From experimenting with electronic music as a teenager to releasing on leading imprints and performing on some of Europe’s biggest stages, Subsonic continues to push boundaries with his genre-defying sound. With a relentless work ethic and an ever-growing catalogue, 2025 is shaping up to be his most defining year yet.
