Today, The Knocks, the genre-hopping electronic duo from New York City, and Canadian electro-pop visionary Dragonette (aka Martina Sorbara) officially release their long-awaited collaborative debut album Revelation, out now via Neon Gold Records / Futures / Virgin.

A bold, satirical concept album set in a fictional 1980s corporate liminal space—Revelation Technologies—the record plays with the absurdity of modern marketing, blending dystopian corporate doublespeak with glossy, euphoric dance-pop. Aquaria, winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race, serves as the campaign’s muse, bringing a high-concept edge to the album’s surreal narrative of magic pills, polished branding, and artistic commodification.

The album features fan-favorite singles including “Foolish Pleasure““Revelation”“The Hero,” while today’s release of focus track “Love Me Alive” brings their world of pastel cubicles and hypnotic rhythms full circle. “Love Me Alive” marks the first track the duo wrote together following their GRAMMY-nominated 2019 hit “Slow Song”—and its emotive foundation helped birth the rest of the project’s neon-soaked soundscape.

The album also offers a standout reimagining of Pete Townshend’s classic “Let My Love Open The Door”, recast through The Knocks’ shimmering, synth-laced production and Dragonette’s haunting vocal sensibility.

“This project feels like a coming of age for us creatively,” says JPatt of The Knocks. “It’s cohesive, intentional, and achieves exactly the sound/vibe that we were aiming to create. We’re extremely blessed to have been able to collaborate so closely with someone as prolific as Dragonette. This is our fourth album, but it feels like we’re really just getting started.”

Adds Dragonette: “Love Me Alive is the first song we wrote after Slow Song, and I think we all felt right away that it lived in the same world. That track opened the door to the idea that there could be a whole collection of songs here. In that way, it’s kind of the mother of the album.”

With Revelation, The Knocks and Dragonette fuse infectious synth-pop with sharp cultural commentary, creating an album that’s as conceptually rich as it is dancefloor-ready. Dive into their vision—and the world of Revelation Technologies—now on all streaming platforms.
