On Saturday, May 17, Pure Imagination returned to Watson Lake in Prescott, Arizona, for its fourth consecutive year—blending live music, immersive art, and awe-inspiring natural beauty into one of the Southwest’s most distinctive festival experiences. With its dramatic setting among the Granite Dells and its heart-forward mission of connection and creativity, the festival once again proved why it’s become a standout in Arizona’s cultural landscape.
This year’s lineup brought together legendary icons and rising talent alike. Cheap Trick, Matisyahu, Arrested Development, and The English Beat ignited the main stage, drawing an enthusiastic, multigenerational audience that sang, danced, and celebrated beneath the sunlit sky. The energy stayed high with standout sets from Gone Gone Beyond, Kelsey Waldon, Bird and Byron, Kids In America, Ponderosa Grove, Pijama Piyama, Dutch Holly, and others—each contributing to the festival’s signature eclectic soundscape.
Beyond the music, Pure Imagination offered a fully immersive experience. Aerialists and fire dancers captivated crowds, while lakeside art installations encouraged moments of reflection and interaction. Attendees explored the scenic surroundings by kayak or hiking trail, and the vibrant Prescott Night Market offered local food, artisan goods, and cultural treasures—all curated to highlight regional creativity and sustainability.
Founded by Candace Devine—lead vocalist of Ponderosa Grove and CEO of Further West—Pure Imagination was created as more than a festival. It’s a vision rooted in inclusion, self-expression, and a deep respect for the land. “Pure Imagination is a shining example of how we are all just humans, longing to find reasons to get along rather than disagree,” says Devine. “Music and art are a compass for meaningful conversation and healing.”
Since its debut in 2022, Pure Imagination has become a beacon for those looking to experience live music in an environment that nurtures both the soul and the senses. This year was no exception—every detail, from the scenic venue to the genre-blurring performances, invited attendees to participate in something both joyful and intentional.
The 2025 edition received glowing reviews from media across the state:
“Pure Imagination’s sound and lineups each year have been wildly eclectic… At this festival, genres are blurred and boundaries fade.”
— Phoenix New Times, Benjamin Letterman
“There are plenty of other bands in the lineup that cover a wide range of musical talents… one of the most beautiful places around to enjoy a live concert event.”

“A mix of diverse artists and cultural-minded activities for everyone—including children—to enjoy in the most beautiful of natural settings.”

As the sun set over Watson Lake, Pure Imagination 2025 left behind more than just unforgettable memories—it reaffirmed its place as a festival driven by passion, purpose, and an unwavering belief in the transformative power of music and togetherness.
