Australian electronic artist Ninajirachi and Brooklyn-based DJ/producer Umru have unveiled an eight-date North American co-headline tour, bringing their cutting-edge sound to fans across the continent. Known for their genre-defying productions and innovative approach to electronic music, the duo promises a thrilling blend of solo performances and collaborative back-to-back DJ sets each night.
While an official studio collaboration is still in the works, the pair first joined forces in 2021 when Umru remixed Ninajirachi and Kota Banks’s single, “Secretive.” Both artists are excited to bring their unique “tour-based combat” format to fans, with Umru describing the tour as his “third season of Tour-Based Combat.” Ninajirachi calls the opportunity a “modern miracle,” marking a rare alignment of their busy schedules and global time zones.
2024 has been a standout year for both artists. Ninajirachi released the critically acclaimed girl EDM (disc 1) and toured with ISOxo, Rezz, Doss, and Alison Wonderland, while Umru dropped collaborations with Chase Icon and Warpstr, produced for artists like Empress Of and Brooke Candy, and toured Asia, the US, and Europe.
In addition to this tour, Ninajirachi will headline Underground Arts in Philadelphia on March 8 and join Rezz for her Portal show on March 1 at Cow Palace in Daly City, CA.
